windscreen install

so during my move the movers cracked my windscreen. no big deal ive taken the nose off at least 3 times. problem is i dont really want to do that again. i have a forcepts. my question is has anybody ever changed the windscreen without taking off the front.

I did. It was a bitch and a half, but definitely doable. I did invent a few new cuss words in the process of installing my MRA windscreen. Luckily for me, it's nice n thick so I didn't have to worry about cracking it like some of the thinner windscreens out there. I removed the mirrors and the nose fairing bolts...nothing else.

i know it can be done but in any case do i want to try and invent new cuss words too or just go and remove the front what do you suggest

I always seem to take shortcuts. I did the same when i installed my full exhaust and only thing i removed was the fairings and nothing else. Was really difficult to get the exhaust heat shield but that was probably the worst thing. If you don't mind the extra work, remove the nose and do it the right way. I guess i just like making things more difficult for myself lol

Doable... the bottom screws were a bitch but with a pair of needle nose pliers I did it just fine
