Been bummed out by missing a couple of weekends of not being able to ride since my bike was in the shop for warranty work. Now it's like Alaska out here in the Midwest.

Other than a few modifications here and there, the dullness has been nullified lately when I came across these videos of Ducati winning the WSBK Championship back in 2011.

What's been keeping you guys busy during the off-season?

Yeah this winter is killing me. The good thing is I get all the logistics/planning in order for my long rides next year while I wait.

I also do have a ton of mods to install in the coming months so I try to keep myself busy.

Winter season fairly short here in SouthEast (end of Nov to mid/end of Feb) so I'm not getting too depressed.
In the meantime doing some maintenance to my Pani and my Triumph - had the 15k done this past couple of weeks on the Pani. Will be going to the "1199 Academy" (or whatever the 1199 Motor teardown/rebuild clinic is called) in a couple of weeks.
Winter also good time to catch up on other hobbies (electronics and electric trains). Currently doing evaluation/research on STM32 ARM F4 and TI MSP430
for a capacitive sensor project and having to give my self a referesher in C++ (and did I mention that any thing besides ASM for programming MCU's just sucks? ). And of course, driving flash memories at 168mhz means you gotta review FCC and Euro standards for EMI so regulatory bodies don't get cranky when your gee-whiz application starts broadcasting interference to every cell phone, wireless device, and radio within a half mile....

Yeah, you're right. Spring can't come soon enough. :)

Is that going to be done in Valencia like the sales academy or back in Bologna?

I can't believe I'm going to miss out on that one. At least I have the Italy trip Ducati sent me on back in 2013. It's only been a 2 months but I miss the motorcycle industry.

Hey Devil what's considered long ride? I'm planning on doing several trips. Week long trip to Nova Scotia. and 3 or 4 day weekend trip to Montreal - Quebec into Maine then back down south. I discovered AirBnb, so no more hotels :) but read horror stories how host would cancel last minute.

I just got a new job that makes me take a 2 week block of vacation in one shot so I figured I'd make the most of it.

The plans are really preliminary but I want to head down from NY to Deal's Gap for the Ducati.ms meetup. Up to Mount Rushmore, out West to the Grand Canyon and then maybe visit some friends in Texas. Ambitious I know but hell, why not.

My longest ride last year was an 1100 mile roughly 3 day ride in & out to Accadia National Park in Maine. Quick Ride report HERE.

I never considered Airbnb but will def be looking into it now.

Bummed a '12 YZR 450 off a buddy and taking it out on the ice.
