Wood craft rear sets gouge fairings... awesome

Just fyi I have the same rearsets on my 1199S and I have the same issue if I install the rearsets in their lowest position... That beings said these are clearly listed as race parts and most likely not designed to work with the stock fairing... So like the OP I put mine in the highest position and live with it... I did want GP shift and this seemed to be my best option.

And as many others have said in previous posts there is nothing mediocre about these parts or any parts made by Woodcraft...

Very good point.

I didn't have any issues with my Driven rearsets either until I converted the RSV4 back into a street bike. With the race bodywork, no problems.

Thanks very much for all the positive feedback. We try hard to make the best quality parts that we can, make them at a reasonable cost and then provide the customer service you expect after the sale. I've had a couple riders ask about the rearsets for these bikes, and we are currently working on making a new inner adapter for the 1299.

As for the shifter issue, I can see a pretty easy solution. Racers need all the clearance they can get, and don't want the pedal pushed outward, but on the street moving that shaft up to 5mm out will be no issue at all. It looks to me that the lever is just grazing the lower, and I'd love to hear from someone here how far out that pedal needs to be spaced out to make the pedal clear the lower with a little room to spare. We may have some black anodized spacers that would fit in there nicely and blend right in - I'm thinking that a couple spacers (or maybe a custom spacer) and a pair of slightly longer bolts would do the trick.

I'm not often able to check all the different forums regularly, so if someone has data/photos and is able to send it to [email protected], we'll take a look and see what we can come up with to solve the issue. Perhaps when we sell the 1299 kits we'll include a spacer that can be optionally used for the street in low position.

This ladies and gentlemen is why I buy Woodcraft.

Pretty much every rearset has some issue--including DP. Either the nuts on the backside rub into the swingarm or the shifter/brake rub on the fairings. Or even worse, the rearsets seize completely, leaving you stuck in gear (hello, Gilles!).

thats right the nuts on my duca bike rear sets hit the swing arm so bad it made a grove and the shifter was getting stuck. had to grind down the nut and safety wire the lever just in case. problem solved

however this didnt happen on the same rearsets standard shift.
