Ok..so I installed these things on the 1299.

So after milling some of the mounting plate off to fit around the pinch bolt I got the .... side on! Good to go. No big deal.

Then on to the Brake side! I get it all just about assembled and then....

I find there is no where for the brake switch to mount!!!

DOH!... that's one hell of an oversight on my part

I swear I heard people mounting these on street bikes! WTF?

Call Eric or Waylon at Woodcraft and they'll get you all set up. I can't say enough good things about woodcraft and everyone that works there. I bought a set of used rearsets that were the first generation that were missing pieces and odds and ends and all I had to do was call and I got everything sorted out, then I had issues with installing them due to lack of bushings--sent Woodcraft an email and called and talked to Eric, had the parts sent out the same day and now everything is installed. In hindsight I wish I would have just spent the extra loot and picked up a new set directly from woodcraft---But they have been a breeze to work with. Good luck getting everything together and getting back to riding!!

Woodcraft has great customer service, but their parts are not grouped very well. Unless you buy the set which comes in a blister pack, buying a piece (outside the pegs and pedals, which I think are in a blister pack in themselves) only includes that piece. You have to pay for each piece, including screws, bolts, etc. It is an advantage if you have the set and only need to buy what you break, but a disadvantage when you are used to buying parts grouped together with hardware.

You have to have the instruction manual to know which part you need to complete the set.

Good luck !!!

Agree completely.

Those guys are excellent and their parts are pure quality. Some of the most durable, "crash worthy" parts you will find.

And they are also racers themselves. They personally use all of the products they make.

I said the same thing when I installed my Lightechs. WTF is this .....

They couldn't even make a mount for the OEM switch. I just zip tied mine and twisted a metal valve cap to push the pin down so the brake light turns off.

Only a few rearsets have a complete install allowing you use the OEM switch; DP, CNC, Rizoma and maybe a few others.

Its a pressure switch that replaces the rear master cylinder banjo bolt as you step on the brake it senses the pressure and close the circuit for your brake light.

Heres some pics of the modifications I made the bracket to fit the 1199 rear set to the 1299

I just disconnected the brake switch from the harness and removed it entirely. We have it unplugged anyway when running track bodywork with no issue, so why lug it around.
