Wsbk Thailand (spoiler alert)

Agree with earlier post ref Wsbk being in trouble with low grid numbers. Thsi will be compounded if (when....??) Bautista wins the next 6 straight. It could get very boring very quickly, which is not good for sponsors etc. Just saying.

I hate to say it, but Rea is not handling this well, he is saying some very sad things. I was a fan, but losing faith.
Bautista is riding the wheels off the V4, he's crossed up going into those tight corners with the front sliding, awesome. Rea has no answer.
Demolished them again in the superpole sprint race. Good to see Davies creeping up and the Yamaha's are nipping at the Kawasaki's heels. BMW has some work to do, but Honda WTF?
Gotta go watch race 2

I agree with what you said on Rea.

He just doesn't have an answer for AB. He doesn't know what to do.

He's riding faster and better than last year at the same two tracks, he loves the new bike and his crew, he's not handling it very well. It's written all over his face

Could it be that one of the reasons that the Bautista is doing so well and that Chaz is struggling is that the the works V4R is a lot closer to a MotoGP bike than the Panigale and it may be closer transition for him ?

Other would that Bautista is a completely different level of talent.. ;)

I do think that's it, spot on. Exactly the reason they brought AB from MotoGP. He didn't really lose the ride. He works for Ducati, He wasn't a top contender with his Moto GP results. They knew Chaz would struggle on the new bike(not his style of riding) and they wanted and needed quick results in World Superbike. Good move for Ducati to play it the way they did.

Ducati has come right out and said the v4 is based on the GP16, and thats was Bautista's last full time Moto GP ride, If he brings home the WSBK championship for Ducati, who knows there might be a real carrot dangling on the end of that deal.

How about BMW being so far down on top end power that Sykes can barely compete. The new 1000RR torque numbers are great for street riding but it's killing them out there in the races.

I love Rea's comment in Australia after the race. "Nothing can replace Horsepower"

maybe its the winglets :D

definitely put a damper on wheelie celebrations at the final turn even thou AB had a few turns advantage to square up the straight and let one killer no look nak nak one wheel head nod wheelie from hell . LOL

Yep, it's definitely the Winglets :)

AB weighs a tad more than the downforce from the winglets put on the bike(66pounds), so it's impossible for him to wheelie for long periods. :D :D

bautista is a 125 world champ and imo except for dovi was the best ducati rider they had. i got the stream to watch bautista and the v4r was worth it.

I can't tell you how pleased I am to see Ducati and Bautista doing so well after the past 4 BORING years of Rea dominance.
