Hi Guys, I was just wondering, and couldn't really find an answer with previous posts. Does our ECU have a "self-learning" function? Where we need to ride in different rpm, full load, half load, etc etc between 0km to 1000km? Sorry, as pointed out "adapting"

I recently purchased an 1199 and the ecu was robbed. I am looking to purchase an ecu that has original matching keys to it so I can reprogram the new ones I have to that ecu.

My dealer suggested a power commander w/auto tune, but I was a little skeptical of that. What is actually available in the US, and what is a good choice? Or should I actually pick what my dealer recommends since they probably will not have the software for these other ECUs?
