My New Gear for This Season

So I picked up a Dainese Super Speed Tex jacket, Dainese Air Frazer Tex pants and Held Titan Gloves to go with the Dainese Axial Pro In boots I have. I haven't had a chance to test them on a ride yet though, the weather in Stuttgart isn't quite warm enough yet for me (admittedly, I am a fair...

    Some new gear.

Went down with my best friend to cycle gear today. He picked up some new alpinestar leather and gloves for 575 and some change. His leathers were pretty sweet for 430. Me I picked up a nice Shoei RF 1100 and a set of Alpinestars GP plus gloves. Nice! My helmet was 5 years old and it...

RACE/SPORT mode :Gear to Gear time lag of quick shifter

Hi Guys This is a topic on the quick shifter time lag of RACE and SPORT mode. In RACE mode, the time lag is short ( i like this ) between the activation of the kick shifter to the transmission engaging the next higher gear. However in SPORT mode the duration of this time lag is a little...

Post crash thoughts and gear review

For those who have the Sato sliders and track they failed for me on an average low side. The right side simply popped off (the original side of the low side) and the left side bent. I won't be using sliders ever again I think. I believe they contributed to my bike flipping and causing way more...

Fluctuating gear numbers - Root cause @Bowhunters

Hi guy's, For some weeks - I have observed, that the gear numbers in the dash are fluctuating up and down. Didn't really have any impact on performance. Last weekend - it went worse: I got errors regarding BBS and engine fault in the dash, and performance of the bike was effected. Next...

    Gear snob?

I got to thinking (never a good outcome), is it bad that I judge riders on how they dress when on the bike. I see a guy in shorts and a T-shirt and think "not sure if thats who I want to ride with". I'm back on a street bike after being off for 5 years (been racing MX) , and have no friends that...

    Gear sensor 'teach-in'...

Upon Key-on my dash shows a flashing 'N' indicator and a flashing 'C' in the gear display. Only if I pull the clutch and lift the stand will the bike start. Once ridden the gear display shows '-' and the neutral indicator remains lit. The owner manual says all this means the gear 'teach-in' has...

    heated gear & stator problems

Yep, heated gear on a Panigale. Dare I place my neck under the guillotine and ask if anyone has put their Panigale stator to the test by using heated gear? Main questions are: How's the stator holding up? Has anyone done an electrical test (check amps/volts) to evaluate how it affects the...

    Street Gear

I know many riders wear leathers and essentially track gear while riding on the street, others not so much. I'd rather not wear leather pants and race boots, so I'm wondering what others use instead, but are able to still stay reasonably protected in a fall. Right now, I'm using the BMW City...

    N/1st Gear Sensor Issue

For the past several thousand miles when my S gets hot the gear indicator display flashes between 1st and N when in N. If I put the side-stand down the bike will eventually stall, thinking that it's in 1st (side-stand cutout). Anyone else experience this?

    DP rearsets gear change lever

Just a heads up, mine came off today in the middle of bloody nowhere at 240+, went to change down quickly coming into a set of tight bends and I'm waving my foot in the air, most disconcerting! So no gear change and stuck 4th gear. Luckily the bike has enough torque and i was on open highways...
