    Incoming Tire Rant

So.. I just replaced my tires. Sounds like it should be pretty easy. Wrong.... The easiest part was the actual removal and installation of the wheels. First, Why does everyone act like working on a motorcycle is reserved for MMI grads with 30k in student loans. I call 4 places and they acted...

V4S track setup w/ different tire sizes

I've put together a salvage auction V4S and did a shakedown track weekend about a month ago. I ran a Pirelli Supercorsa TD 200/55 on the rear thinking that it would steer slower than stock but not too badly. In reality, steering seemed much heavier than it should be, so I looked up the diameter...

    Tire calibration

    another tire thread

I am planning on going on holiday with my V4. I will do a big tour through the Alps end of May. 2000 kilometers in 4 days Of course, it might rain. The stock Pirelli's are terrible in rain. But in size 200-60, you only have these tires or some Dunlops with almost no thread also. I would...

Wheel speed sensor issue? Possibly tire size change related?

My v4 has 1500 miles on it and I've done 3 trackday weekends on it without issues. Yesterday, during a cruise around town, three times I ran into an issue where suddenly bike showed following errors all at once: - ABS - DES (Dynamic Suspension) - DSC - Check engine light On top of that...

    tire warmer fit

I recently purchased Woodcraft tire warmers for track day use on my 1299 Panigale. Unfortunately there is only 7.0mm clearance between the front fender and the tire surface. The tire warmer will simply not fit through this small space. I cannot be the only person having experienced this issue...

    Tire flipping

For those of you who ride track, have you ever had experience flipping your rear tire? The track by me, (NJMP Thunderbolt) is super right turn heavy, only 2 real lefts and because of this, the right hand side of the tire usually burns out MUCH faster than the left. I've heard others at the track...

Stock Tire Height (200/60-ZR17) Changing to a 200/55-ZR-17

Ok, I'm in the market for a new rear tire. I'm looking at the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tire. The OEM tire is the SuperCorsa SP V3 in a 200/60-ZR17. The Corsa II only comes in a 200/55-ZR-17. Has anyone changed to this size tire yet? Will this slight change in height screwup the...

    a durable 200/55R17 rear tire?

my preferred tire is the Pirelli Supercorsa, but they're not particularly long lived. I don't mind the tire change intervals, but I'm brewing up a plan to to a long distance tour on my 1299, and with endless miles of highway, it'd be a waste to run my normal tire. If the Angel GT came in a...

    Tire Warmer truth/myth

Started this post in a bike specific forum but believe it belongs here. My backstory is that I've been track riding for years without warmers and finally looking to buy some. Trackday tire PSI checking

Hi all, this is something that's recently come to my attention. Normally when I do trackways, I ensure the PSI is to my liking before the first session when the tires are cold. And then for the rest of the day, I don't touch it. However, usually by the end of the day, my feel on the tires gets...
