And I had a lot of trouble to get the rear off, sheared of 1/2 drive and 2nd impact 1/2 drive, in the end I strapped the rear wheel down in the back of the van, strapped down the bike and 3/4 drive long pipe and a Bosnian guy, it worked!

LOL on the rear wheel nut & a Bosnian guy... after having someone sit on the bike, lock the back wheel up, and me lift them both off the ground I knew there was seriously insane amount of torque on that nut..

Went back on with 120 ft lbs so hope it holds

I bought the bike six months old, it had new tyres, the guy who did the rear nut also went crazy on the front pinch bolts and crushed the fat end of the axle shaft, so when I was fighting the rear nut I was think what a dick!

Ps - beautiful wheels! Those look really good. Did you need to use a spacer kit up front or are these 1199 specific?

the grease on the rear wheel nut gets gummed up, after heating up the rear nut for about 3-5 minutes with a heat gun it comes right off.. you can also use a good lube cleaner and spray it between the wheel seat and wheel nut to help it along..

Thanks, no 1199 specific not like the Checa version.
The 3/4 air gun didnt work, even when we uped the compressor and hose, just banged away. There is no substitute for for a ....... guy, a piece of scaffold pipe and a ...... attitude.

Just picked me up some checa version. Kinda excited. Was stoked on the R wheels but I really like the way these look

I wish, I heated wouldn't budge, in the end you got to strap the wheel down with a ratchet strap, strap the bike down and go at like we do with the Komatsu's!

I hear ya. Thats what works on mine. BTW torque going on is 230nm(176ft lbs) never use the impact/air wrench going back on.

It's weird - torquing back up to 176ft/lbs never seems all that difficult - compared to taking the nut off
