Hi everyone, I decided to make a fan video about Ducati and I wanna know what comes in mind when u guys hear Ducati, I need ur opinion to make a nice video so I would satisfy Ducati audience. Basically I wanna learn what color u guys prefer the most for your bikes, and perhaps you something else to share. Thanks in advance!

The marketing is top!
Sorry tough crowd.
Everyone knows the red ones are fastest.
The community, the design, the philosophy of their engineering (long conversation), the abilities they deliver, and the sound.

There are a list of things that need improvement too. Do you want that list as well?
Baffling production decisions, industrial /production design by ....... in the plastics, baffling ergonomic conundrums...

I can't really put my finger on it. I just know I owned a few bikes before ever owning a Ducati, but never walked into my garage in the morning for regular rides to work with an ear to ear smile on my face until I bought my first one. Even nowadays, my commuter is an Energica Ego and my Panigale is a track-only bike I don't get to ride much, but I still look at it and feel that happiness I felt the first moment I saw it and the salesman said, "That one is yours."

Ok since Paul stepped up with what is undoubtedly the “only” viable non subjective answer as it is the true differentiator so, I second that. The ONLY reason I got into the brand was the fact that I wanted a twin in a sport bike package and Ducati made it. Other than that, I could give 2 ..... about a brand which is why my bikes are completely void of any branding or “fanboy” BS.

Visual appeal of the Panigale when it first came out. Coulda been a Hyosung. I probably still woulda got one. Best lookin bike. Still is. The sound is also intoxicating.

I wish I had gotten my hands on an 03 RC51 with low miles. Mannn what a bike that was. Instead, I got me a ZX6R back in 04 as my first bike. That twin woulda killed me. Now they're all high mileage or overpriced.

The RC8R is also an Twin alternative. I’ve had two of them. Pure analog somewhat super bike. Had an RC51 too, I’ll get another one someday. The Aprilia Twin was good too, long as the stator was not burning up.

LOL, jeez Craig I can work miracles but I’m not that good. I wouldn’t put any of those bikes anywhere near the same category as the 1299. The KTM would be the only possible exception however performance/aftermarket parts would be an issue. RC51 is a cool bike. I have ridden one but it’s very dated, heavy and way down on power. Performance parts, forget it.

You can get some things for the KTM, least you used to. The RC last year was 2006, last year for the Aprilia was 2008. Am I any “faster” on my usual back road routes on my 1299S than my previous twin bikes? Doubt it. Is the 1299 funner? Sure. Does the Ducati get more attention? Sure. Do I look more ....... rad at Starbucks with it? Oh hell ya! Whoooooo!

Yea I get from a real world disability perspective. Building bikes from scratch is a different story. You need access to parts and it’s nice to have a variety to choose from. I wasn’t going to get that from those other mfg. I’m not going to call CDT and get bodywork and a tank for a KTM or much of anything else. Engine parts, gearbox, axles etc, forget it.

The Ducati twin has a long heritage, they persisted, refined and I believe have perfected the big bore sportsbike to the nth degree. They changed to a 4 because the twin had come to the end of the road as far as maximum performance package was concerned. Arguably the 4 is a better bike, more power, better handling etc but does it deliver the "experience"? I keep coming back to that 44t blogger test between a v4 and a 916, at the end of that track day despite describing the 4 in superlatives such as "mental" and fastest bike Ive ever ridden, best handling blah blah blah- they still preferred the 916 for the pure enjoyment of riding.

Isn't that what its about? The biggest problem with Ducati is the cockgobblers who think owning the brand compensates for their lack of whatever. I enjoy the brand when people admire it, but in the end its all about hitting the twisties on a bike that sounds, looks and feels good.
