Hi, took my new V4R for first ride , akrapovic exhaust and flash done last week. After 2 miles hazards turned on , DTC + ABS failure and overheat message . Non on the control works . Luckily was close to home . Anyone can help ? Software issue ? Thanks in advance

If the bike is new and under warranty take it back to the dealer. If it actually overheated not so good. Ducati apparently runs pure glycol and the overheat message turns on past 300 F. Cooks the oil. I'd like to brinell one of those heads after it's been at 300. Thermostat probably is stuck closed if it actually overheated that fast. Hope it's just software.

Thanks for the reply !! Hopefully it didn’t overheat , i turned back as soon and the message came on. Bike is going back to ducati Tuesday am , keep you posted

Are you able to tell if the fans are running? After I installed my exhaust, the rubber fittings on the fans got stuck and caused an error as well as made the fans not work. This caused my bike to throw an error but didn’t overheat. Not sure on the abs or dtc as I didn’t experience that.

Check the wire going into the controls. It can very easily pull out (by design) and has to be tied with one of those rubber ties to the clutch or brake line.

Just noticed pink fluid in the garage floor today

Any way you can pull the fairings and see where it’s coming from? I’m sure you’re already planning for this but should probably be taking it back to the dealer and letting them handle it (assuming the warranty is still in place)

Have the other problems persisted?

Some people, myself included, like to remove the front wheel and entire radiator and oil cooler assembly when installing the exhaust. It's possible they just didn't tighten the radiator hose clamps enough.

Hi guys, bike has been at ducati for the last 2 days , still no news . Keep you guys posted

The ENI coolant is premixed ethylene glycol/water at about a 53/47 ratio and the overheat warning on my '18 V4 turns on at 125 C/257 F, V4R could be different.

Dealer asked me not to turn on the bike or touch anything, I will call them now to see if there’s any news , been a few days ;(

sounds like the apprentice didn't do up a hoseclip or fill the coolant to the right level

buy OBDStar and you can read your own trouble codes. Really the only proper way to diagnose any error codes that come up.

Dealer finally called . They said it was a software error that caused the radiator fan not to work and the bike went on limp mode . They ran many tests and said it perfect! They are sending the bike back Tuesday. Hope it’s good now 🙏🏻
