Hoping termi or Akro come out with some affordable slip one, any recs on a slick open clutch? All I can find is the open window cover/pressure plate setup. I want that fork in a blender sound, with a nice pressure plate.
 
wait till there’s a real tuning solution from woolich available (soon?) and then u can get whatever u want. Arrow looks nice, termi is nice but I’m not abt that T800 upmap. Jester is nice too and he can make u a custom slipon

otherwise spend the big bucks on the Akra with the official Ducati UpMap.

Or just leave it stock like an old man cause the stock exhaust sounds incredible. but until there’s a real tuning solution, leave it stock or it’ll run like ....
 
V2. I wanted to love the V4 but the V2 made me feel likeI was on one of my old 1098/1198.

Nice, congrats. I am on one as well. A slip on, removed rear pegs, tail tidy, rear seat cowl, Rizoma mirrors... and its a complete bike. Well, after Gilles rearset comes in. :D

Whose slip on did you get?
 
I have the Akra slipon on my 1299 with the UpMap but the UpMap on that big twin was BS.
Seems like ppl think the V2 is more refined so maybe the official DP UpMap will be sufficient but still it’s probably like $4k. I’m sure we can get u discounts if u go this rout but idk.
I think I was so hooked on Akra for the 1299 that I don’t even know what else exists for that bike

Cool thing w the Akra is u can do the slipon now and then at the first DESMO service (15k) have them install the Akra header while the bike is part getting valves inspected

I’m excited for u

Did someone mention discounts. Discount for you discount for him. Ducatikev I know a guy who knows a guy who can get you whatever you need for your BIKES. Can you imagine what the Akra full system would run you with upmap and sprint air filter or what the Arrow or termis would run you if you contacted the guy I know who knows a guy? Oh wait you have on all your other parts and Kriega back packs and water stuff. How many stars on a star level of 10 would you give him? You can remove one star because he gives you great prices and youre like F*%K you.....now I have to buy it LOL
 
My last two had Termi carbon slip ons with the baffles removed. It was almost criminal but sounded soooooo good.

Agreed. Even with the earplugs it sounds great haha. And it is for sure doing me a solid when lane splitting over here, ppl are moving thats for sure. I think not so much for being kind hearted, but more so for being scared shitless when they hear the thunder.

Haha if u crack the throttle and quickshift up... we’ll mine explodes anyway sounds like the shotgun and u know this bad bitch is spitting flames

Ya mine is crackling, popping and blurping all the time. It's just glorious. Favorite part of the bike hands down.

Hell yeah! The big twins are monsters. But so is the new V4 and new V2. They crack and pop right from the dealer. It’s quiet but it’s still there cause even the euro 5 compliant exhausts can’t fully tame these beasts. I am happy with the tone of the stock exhaust. Sure it could be louder but this screaming red bike gets enough attention from the cops. I just tell them I’ll let them ride it if they let me press the buttons in their police interceptor

when I wanna ride a loud, unruly beast, I’ll jump on the 1299 and let it breathe fire, but having a quiet, refined 2020 model is the way to go for me.
Yeah it’s kinda abt the steep $$$ but in reality if they offered an electronic exhaust with a mode to be stock/quiet, and a “wsbk loud” mode, is probably buy it even if it cost an extra $1k over the Akra that’s available now

U guys know how the Ferrari is. Start it up it’s loud And sounds amazing, then it goes into whisper mode but still maintains a nice tone.
I used to like it loud enough to set off car alarms but now I’d rather be low profile guy whispering into bike night and being able to outrun even the fastest contenders.
It’s almost unbelievable how well these 2020 models put the power down. I was smoking loud tuned Ninja H2s off the line and through at least 2nd gear. And there were no issues keeping up on the highway “- - -“ but this V4 blows hot air right out of the gills onto the back of my legs. I’m gonna have to get some cool me down pants.
it’s also insane how stable these bikes are up at top speed. Plus the V4 hits the dashed mph I. 5th gear with a whole extra gear to go

@Sig600 wait till u see how crystal clear the dash is. It’s as pixel dense as an iPhone 11 pro.
I think you’re going to be very thrilled with the bike.

the other thing is insurance we’ve done a couple threads on it but one guy called Dairylnd after I showed my numbers and they were able to save him some $$. I like discounts, I hope the dealer gave u a big one on ur new V2, or at least threw in a Ducati red rear stand and first service at 621 miles included w purchase price. I mean we are still on lockdown here so give it up, invoice is around 16% less... unless ur a Ferrari guy then whatever, they’re worth every penny.

Congrats and hope everything goes smooth with all the moving components: purchase, insurance... wife.

I got what I could out of them... but the V2 they had on the floor when I went in last week was sold that day, they got in three more this week and I snagged the last of that lot. They took some cash off the price, I got a tail tidy and some cash towards a new lid (my Arai profile is 10 years old). They didn’t need to haggle. I probably could’ve beat them up some more on the V4S but honestly after riding it, I didn’t really want it. Great bike and I could tell I was only scratching the surface of the bike... but for the money I’d never really be able to fully tap the bike as there are no tracks near me and my riding is canyon carving and going to work. I loved my 10 and 1198 and the V2 felt like home as soon as I clicked into 1st. Can’t wait to bring it home. Now I just need to open up the clutch and exhaust.
