1199 Chain Length and sprocket swap

Im in the middle of doing a quick-change setup in the rear (39T) and dropping a tooth in the front (14T) alongside a new chain.

2 questions:

How many links do I need for a 14-39 setup?

Ive read a couple times now that factory length is needed but I see a number of people calling factory length 104 links yet the manual calls factory length 106 links. Which is correct?

select 14-39 sprockets
play with number of links

btw, standard 104 links

I've done it for you, just out of curiousity

with 14-39, he advices to keep the 104 links
your sprocket distance (heart to heart) will increase with 3mm

I’ve done the same went down a tooth on the front sprocket, kept the same chain.

Not a massive difference just better
