I feel like there's been a few threads along these lines by new people.

I'm just gonna wait for the 99999999999999 lightspeed edition but I don't buy first model years so I'll wait for the ultralightspeed model just to be sure.

If you're an 1199 owner and butthurt about the new bike being out. Just add the adjustable "R" swingarm. That's the biggest geometry change.

The extra power of the engine is just silly. Not needed. The extra electronics are nice, but the 1199's electronics suite is plenty good.

You could also use the quicker 1299/899 steering head mounts, but those aren't quicker everywhere.

Man I'm good with my 1199 base recently got it dynoed , custom tuned with an akra, exhaust,k tech in the front & the back, took it to njmp a couple of weeks ago & I love the ....... thing could not b happier it handles "& got more power then I know what to do with.i can care less about a 1299.

I loved the Panigale right from the jump, but I'm also glad I waited for the 1299

My thinking as well. The 1199 makes Foggy's SBK championship winning bike feel weak. That's plenty fast for me.
