It's a consistent attitude for 300 years, not just events from that long ago. The KING and QUEEN make addresses and the Prime Minister follows the direction of the Monarch for foreign policy. You do NOT become Prime Minister by kissing up to the Russians. Name One. . just ONE.. Pro-Russian prime minister since 1960. They were all at odds with the USSR, and then Russia. They ALL were trying to overthrow or politically or financially destroy or bankrupt the Russians. You may not like Russia. That's on you. But at least admit that this problem does not exist in a bubble, and is not one-sided. The West, NATO, England, the USA etc etc etc, have been trying to undermine and destroy Russia for a very long time. Russia has endured. It will continue to endure. The BEST tactic is to make them your friend, instead of stupidly trying to bring down a Titan that has the Worlds largest Nuclear warhead count.

Bout time you got it right. The West is nasty, the Russians want to be friends and have good relations. That about sums it up. Nice job.

In the end, Russian, Czech's, Poles, Frenchies etc etc all just the same thing. A fair days pay for a fair days work, time off to enjoy your family and interests, good healthcare, freedom to talk about whatever, go motorcycling and drink a few beers or vodka as the case may be
