1199 Ducati Luggage

I'll probably go down this route, although I do like the Kriega bags.

How large was the gap between the rack and the rear cowl? And what size of pack is that?

There is enough clearance, but to be safe switch to the pillion seat.
Also, use a little bit of blue loctite on the ends to keep the bolts happy - there is alot of vibration going on there.

Thanks bishopau! This is exactly what I was looking for...didn't know it was availible. That and a tank bag...I can pack enough for two weeks!

I have a 31L bag on there and I can never fill it. Plenty of room if you can stop to wash your clothes from time to time :)

When you sit up at stop lights, etc, the bottom of the pack rubs on the tail of the bike, causing scratches. I only have this issue on the 1199, because of how steeply the tail section rises. Also, the pack restricts air circulation, which is seriously uncomfortable upwards of 80 degrees F.

I use a Kriega, same problem but easily solved. Fit the pillion seat when you've got a back pack on. Thats what I do ;)
