i'm david from Belgium, doiing dyno mapping, data logging etc... all stuff what's bike electronic related.

1st off all, the new ducati update map for the full termi system is way much better, trust me i have tested it.

Further i'v done data logging on the dyno with my motec logger on 2cyl, it was stil pretty rich overal, so i'm already looking for weeks ons something to get it mapped, since their is only the rapid bike module. And remapping on the ecu like i do with rexxer, is still nothing since they still don't have a driver to custom map it, like i want to.
OK, i can go on motec M170 install, or magn marelli setup, butt their are not much people who want to spend between 7 & 15.000€ for it....

So i tried to install a simple PC5 on it with succes. I have to say i did 3hours to make al bridges on wiring etc, for not splicing the original wiring loom.

powercommander5 on 1199 (test setup) - YouTube

their is a trick, the bike has the power butt their is a limitation on it. Not onto the engine or electronics but in how the bike is build....not goiing to say all here. Butt the engine delivers no problem.

On a 2nd one we lightened the whywleel & did cam timing, butt this one was already taken home before testing.

The PC5 is working but has some things to consider, and i still have to test, before my final oppinion. I'm talking track bike use here.

Good work. Looks very promising! Subscribed!

The PCV will not control the ignition and engine breaking system, but the RapidBike RACE does. Do you have a bridge harness for the RapidBike RACE?

i know, the pc5 doesn't excist @this moment it's in development.
some friends want their bikes mapped, in the past they where sold rapids on other bikes they have. With the rev extend, when the rpm limit is extended, the rapid causes a "problem" and the bikes misfires/hasitates @ that moment,
not very nice when u are riding a race. So i've tried to talk them over for the new rapid, butt no use. So i'm looking for a solution.
I only believe what i test myself, and what i do on the dyno, then i know i've seen it with my own eyes.
So with the rapid, u can't download the software, to see what u get, will it work? will it not? Everybody says it does, butt i dont find many reports of it.
like pictures/movies of one installed on a bike, etc...
Somebody make a vid on a rapid on the dyno, show some modifications, tell us what it's doiing....
When it does what they say, it should be a great device!

a 2nd pani;
this one was taken home, have to all the testing & mapping etc..
only did the engine mods.

blue: full termi, mwr filter, new up map.
green: +lightened flywheel & cam timing.
(dips in graph, are from beiing very very rich...)

Nice work Dave,

Did you managed to get data from both tps sensors? Because I was thinking of taking a unit from MTS1200 for test... but this is not it's only problem/difference.
Anyway it sounds interesting. But I believe soon we wont have to work with piggyback ecu's. Working directly on the ecu is the way to go... and keep a pc5 or similar for quick tunning and data logging.

Regarding Rapid bike race, I've raced in the summer against quite a few panigale's on a few events in Italy, if not all most them where using rapid bike units, with good results and no problems to report as the owners said (they couldn't pass me thought :D), so I suggest you should try one, at least until dynojet anounces the pc5 for 1199.

normally i work on ECU with a rexxer unit to map it, butt they are also working on it... They are working over a year for now on the ecu of the pani, and i don't expect to get a driver release very soon.

The PC5 is on the website of Pcom "coming soon", so i asked info, and it's still in development and they expect a release "next couple of months" so that can be next month butt also wait another 4 months.....

full termi, timing, rapidbike race

big midrange improvement!

Hi guys

Are there any news about PCV for our 1199?
Tomorrow I will do a dyno-test of my 1199.
Are there any attentions to have the correct test?

i read somewhere the Bazzaz is out now. that's all i know.

yes, make sure your rear wheel speed sensor is disconnected!

please post results!

Any news on the PCV?
I noticed that they are on the market now...
Anyone know if it will control the ignition and engine braking system

Do we have a way to collect maps,
And see differences from group to group?

I am very very motivated to trade maps and or learn for each other

Good luck
