I've wanting a Duc for awhile and was planning on waiting. However, my local dealer has a brand new 2014 Base ABS for 16140...I haven't seen any prices near to this. Basically I'm asking if this is a common price or should i jump on it before its too late ?

If money is an object for you right now... Buy it as it is a great price.

Honestly though, I'd hold out for the new wave of bike (1299). Dealers are going to be trying to clear out the 1199 before they have to take a loss on them once the 1299 comes out.

In early 2013 I paid $16,400 plus ttl for a 2012 base without ABS. Considering the 2014 base has ABS then I think it looks like a good deal. However, like JArnold says above, there will likely be more discounting as the 2015 models get closer to appearing. There will also be factory promotions like rebates and/or special financing very soon to help dealers clear out 2014 inventory.

Since jarelj is throwing his hat in the ring... Let me add that he had (has) an 899 pimped right out to the Ts that will make the stock 2014 1199 look slow on the track in comparison... It's only a few bucks more...

OP - Buy THAT one!! :)

Sounds like a great deal. My dealer has been selling 1199S' s for $20k for several months because Ducati is supplementing inventory sales. $1299's won't be $16.5k ;)

Sell ya my 2014 abs for 15k

1267 miles. Just broke in. Babied.

No dealer fees. No worry about 1st service. Has warranty left and slider kit on it.
