Hello fellow 1199'ers! (we are the 1199%! haha....jokes....)

Anyway, I recently picked up my 1199 S with good ol' ABS this past Saturday and got to ride it a little bit. It's a whole lot of fun for sure!

The downside is, I developed a stress fracture in my foot about 4.5 weeks ago (long distance runner), so I've been on crutches and a knee scooter since then. The funny thing is, I can actually ride the bike, but I can't get off it unless I have my crutches or scooter to grab onto lol. Fortunately I only have 1.5 weeks left until I can walk again, and I'll be able to fully enjoy riding! Then maybe I'll be able to get some pics up as well.

That aside, a little background: My first bike was a '09 Triumph Daytona 675 (bought in July of '09), which I laid down this past Spring (twice, in the same week) riding down in the North Carolina area. It's a long story, but it's a combination of me pushing it around turns, and having new/different tires than I was used to. Anyhoo, insurance decided to "total" my perfectly working Daytona (all cosmetic damage) and I bought back the salvaged title, so it's being transformed into a track bike. I love that bike to death, it's absolutely incredible and I will fight anyone to the death who says it's not the best 600 out there :D

That being said, I'm looking forward to the dawn of a new street bike era (for me anyway) on the 1199, and looking forward to being part of this forum and sharing/taking in lots of knowledge and experience!

Ciao!

Holy crap I can't believe I completely missed this comment!

In truth, I saw one of your comments in another thread that mentioned your name was Troy, and I saw you were from Detroit. Then I thought "huh, Charles always tells me about a guy named Troy who bought a Panigale S as well, I wonder if this is the same person..."

So I started looking through your comments, and eventually came to this one haha!

Well, good to know, hopefully I'll cya soon, if we ever get to go riding before the end of the season! I'm still trying to get Charles ready for a track day at the end of September. I'm all in on it, and he said you may go as well. Hopefully we can make it happen!
