1199 S ABS - full Termi system: thoughts after 200 miles

Personally I never rode a stock one so I guess it is possible the up-map changed things.

This may be a dumb thought but here goes...
When I bought my 848EVO last year it was recommended to drop a tooth in the front from 15 to 14. Think this would help on the 1199? If I remember correctly, the reason for the re-gearing was to help slower/city type riding to avoid the chatter in the lower rpms.?.

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this too for the Pani. Any takers from the chosen ones who have 'em already?

To me the bike is nowhere as rough as my 1098r in slow riding. It is way more comfy in low rpms"¦Plus the wet clutch helps out with start off..

+100

The bike doesn't need any re-gearing for city driving...!
It already smooth enough....Wet clutch is a breeze...
You're riding a Ducati superbike for Christ's sake....;)

True hahaha I can definitely deal with it how it is. After all I don't plan on getting stuck in traffic too much, hopefully.

I only have the slip-ons, and honestly, I find it pretty loud and earth shaking...!
Maybe because it's my first Ducati...;)

I also, bring up the mode screen after every turns...!
Like Ducenzo said, a 3sec hold would have been just perfect...!

Here here! That's the solution... A 3 sec press!

Right who works for Ducati on here? Go have a word please....!

Add me to the list (this needs it's own thread), on two demos I kept bringing up the menu. Fortunately you need to hold the button for about 5 seconds to actually change modes but it's still frustrating when you want to check your speed and you can only see riding modes.

Edit: sorry just saw how old this thread is.

Everyone keeps talking about how loud the full termis are but I have to say I was a little disappointed when I heard mine because I was expecting an earth quake to come out of them with all this hype on their loudness. It doesn't seem any louder then other ducatis I have heard. I am a minority I guess in this case because I prefer my cars and bikes to be as loud as possible. And don't get me wrong the termis sounds amazing and I am extremely happy I made the investment! Just don't think they are as loud as people are making them out to be...

I have to agree, although I don't own my Panigale yet, I was hoping the termi would at least match the Casey Stoner exhaust option on the Desmo, but nowhere close...

BUT, Apparently an RS Panigale is on the horizon for 2013.. suspect it's coming at a price though..

I have the full Termi and have recently had it dyno'd and properly mapped.

What is definite is that the standard headers make much better torque than the Termi ones. What is also definite is that the upmap is horrible. My bike made 174whp with the upmap and Termi system. It was then mapped on the Rapidbike and gained a huge chunk of midrange (although not as much as just slip-ons) and romped on to 187whp at the top end. If you have the full system the bike needs to be properly mapped and if not you should remove the upmap as its junk and the standard map runs better and makes more power.

I also Hope they will change the Software some Day. But like the BMW the turn Signal will automatically stop After some Distance riding. I think the 1199 and the s1000rr are the only Bikes having this Feature. ;)

Only if you do not exceed 50 mph. Then it stays on until you turn it off.

Is that twice in succession, or just twice period? I'm in the group that cancels repeatedly, just to make sure, but I'm sure I can get used to pressing it once, waiting a few seconds, then pressing it again, as long as it doesn't trigger the riding mode screen.

Press once and then look at the dash. Simple solution.
