so Akra or Termi ?

price wise , no much difference between slip on to full

the sound recording quality on YouTube not so great
can't decide which one sound better.

personalty in general i like the sound of 4 inline better then the 1199

I'd sell the pos before you get any deeper into it. I've literally lost count of how many times my "S" has been in the shop since I purchased it new in 2012.

squeeze the lemon ....

btw, if you wanna go further down in price than Claymore, check this signature:

your stock cans, $390 plus shipping...

i offer termignoni / akra sound level (as far as i can tell from the videos)
or
blow the ears off sound levels.

you lose the catalytic converters and the engine can breath better, trough less restricted outlets in addition. plus you can get them ceramic coated by me.

I think this winter I'm doing that. Buying a stocker off Ebay and sending it down to you to get cored. Unless you'd rather just grab a set off ebay and send me the bill for the whole thing. 1 less trip of shipping to pay for.

Keeping my stocker stock in case our Highway Patrol killjoys get miffed. Local and county mounties are cool, they give the 1199 thumbs up all the time, but HP is a PITA.

Blow the ears off level, please. :D All the Harleys and R1's are as loud as a top fuel dragster up here.

first ride yesterday
Houston hot summer , around 95 degrees outside

around 120 miles.

got back home , left and right tight had many burns all over !
a lot of heat coming from the front when i tight my leg to the fuel tank
on the highway i can't ride more the 10 minutes.
that's a huge issue.

how you guys suffer and live with it?!

any idea how to make it better?

Yep.

Cats out, less restriction and heat build up. No matter which pipe...

And: go faster and not to Starbucks ;)

You're sittin on a furnace. It's hot regardless of which exhaust you have, cats in or out. Just have to adjust accordingly or get another bike.

to find curvy/twisty road i must ride at list an hour from my home
the worst heat coming for some reason on highway cruise (around 70-80mph)
make scene?!

there is maybe a better heat shield i can install?

i'm begging to regard about not buying the BMW S1000RR
i went to the dealer to buy the BMW and almost pay for it
at the last minute i saw the 1199 , the BMW look so ugly
so i decide to buy the sexy ducati.

Shift up.

If your bike is running legitimately hot at 80 MPH you're either in 2nd gear or something is wrong with it.

I'm in central Texas and at that speed in summer weather my bike sits in the 180s and for a Panigale that's not hot.

6th Gear cruise

i have burns in 4 different places :(
really wired.

i'm not sure from where the heat coming from
i know it's from all over
but it's becoming worst when i tight my leg over the side of the fuel tank , when i open the legs i don't feel the heat but i'm also not feel safe to ride.

i ride with a Jeans
maybe riding pans will be better?
can you recomoned on one to buy?

I have ceramic coated my full Termi system (inside and out) and use the full DP Carbon Fibre heat shield for the under seat section of the manifold. I removed the inside steel liner and only use the cf section. Heat is no longer a problem... :D

Try wearing leathers with some other pants underneath like dainese under suit or merino wool. Usually only a problem in traffic.

i checked again today

the sub frame getting very hot ( see the attached image )
and also the metal plate attached to the engine cover with 3 screws (not sure what is the name of this part)

any idea how to improve the heat on those area?

your DP shield must do a great job
but i think it's too big , i like the AKrapovic heat shield for example
