Shocked. Literally shocked so much I was scared to twist the throttle. That was how I felt this morning on my first ride of my 1199 after 4 days of riding a BMW R1200RT (loaner bike while mine was in the shop).

Forget all the fussing over the bike that you read online and in magazines. The Panigale is such a sweet ride, nothing else compares. Enjoy it as often as you can, and don't second-guess your decision to make the purchase.

HAHA, glad to hear the enjoyment, but that poor bmw makes 110hp and 90ftlb of torque, no sportbike. Boxer Engines are a different story

I traded up to a Pani from a Buell Lighting.. So I got to admit that I will instinctually shift around 6k rpms unless I'm in "haul ... frame of mind". It'sa hard habbit tro break. Going from the Gixer to the Lightning was just as hard.

Thats funny, I just got done riding a buell lightning today, definitely took some getting used to. Definitely an interesting motorcycle.

The Buell is particularly difficult to ride. You want to hang on to the revs and enjoy all that sweet sportbike glory, but the bike is like, "Hey, boss, this is a union shop! No revs past 6,000!"

Take a mv f4 and let me know what you think about the panigale after,it will change the way you look at the panigale you will feel how bad the map is on the panigale. The mv f4 it just a perfect.

Interesting opinion on the MVF4 as it seems to contradict nearly every published review I've read on the bike.

Uhhh...

Interesting, you are def. in the minority on this one. Having ridden both, IMHO Pani wins in looks, engeneering, build quality amd aftermarket support. MV wins on rarity.

Pani 4, MV 1

Don't get me wrong the panigale is like the iPhone 5s right now is new is pretty but the new mv from 2010 up are so well put together and I just love how that engine respond. I'm compare my 2012 panigale base with my 2012 mv agusta f4r I have 3 track day in the panigale and 4 track day in the mv 4000 miles between both bike maybe you experience with mv was different .
