1199 Weight Gain

Has anyone noticed on Ducati's website for the specs for the Base and S that the weight increased from 414.5 to 420 lbs this year? The R remained the same at 417 lbs. Does anyone know why the increase?

Honesty???;)..Is it because ABS is now standard???
 
To answer the question, yes... No NON ABS units this season. You'd be amazed at how much that unit alone weighs...
 
I thought the 2013 models all had ABS? At least the base model wasn't available in a non ABS version. Maybe other parts of the country? World?

You know what, you might be right...at least in the US market. I might have to take my "thanks" back.
 
Just goes to show that the '12 Base model (without ABS) was the original Superleggera! ;)

So I would assume you have one in the United States?
Three dealerships informed me the 2013 S in the US ONLY came in with ABS.
not a single one of them ever got, or could order a non-abs S for MY2013.

maybe three dealerships are ......... (its actually possible, i'm not being sarcastic)

2013 S' in the United States all had abs.

I don't know what "suspicions" about me there could be. I own two of them...?

But I forgot, you went to my Dealership 12/1/2012 and tried ordering a White S, no abs?

ABS I remember weighed 5lbs.

Its a base with ABS. It was 390 with low fuel light on.
I have since swapped to Akra full Ti system, swapped wheels S wheels and some stuff removed (Kick stand mount, Emissions equipment (secondary air, evap canister, etc.).

Should know next week how much it weighs after race prep. Maybe 370-375?

Anyone know how much S wheels weigh compared to Std wheels?
Anyone know how much standard exhaust weighs compared to Akrapovic full Ti?

Tell ya what. Before I post a screen shot of the 2013 order form, let's make a wager. If there was no 2013 1199S available in NON ABS, I'll give you my racebike (1199). However, if there was a 2013 1199S NON ABS, I get your 1199.

Let's see how educated you really are.

Oh, 2013 1199S NON ABS were only in red. Never said anything about color, but only in red.
