Got the call at lunch time...by the time I made over to the dealership an hour later they had it unboxed and being built up.

Pick it up tomorrow....going to be a fun weekend

Mine called and asked if I wanted the passenger pegs on. I said no thanks. Now I'm just waiting for the snow to clear before I pick it up, hopefully sooner than later as it has been siting at the dealer for almost a month now.

What dealer? I'm dropping mine off at Erico tomorrow for its first service. Would love to see an R in person!
 
I was standing there with my wife and he asked if I wanted the passenger pegs on....I hesitated....paused....looked down....then looked at my wife and said yes.

He did tell me on the side that it was only 4 bolts so no biggy to take off. I just got her a CBR600rr so it should not be an issue beyond the first week or so.

Dealer is Fay Myers off Arapahoe. It may be there through the weekend now...just got off a conf call and may need to travel out of country for work. They should have it on the floor if that is the case.
 
Seems odd that the R comes with passenger pegs option. The 9xx/1x98 race versions had a solo cowl and no pegs option. And the Ohlins shock wasn't strong enough to hold a passenger. Different day...different bike I suppose.
 
I remember the feeling well, congratulations! So, in the spirit of our beloved forum, let's get this thread going... How are you going to break it in? :D

When did your dealer get the R's in? Haven't heard of them arriving anywhere else in Canada to date. A Toronto dealer was told mid month. Guess they're getting close.
 
My dealer has 2 coming and both spoken for before I spoke up. I am first on the list if some one backs out. My dealer is in Northern Ca so I wonder how soon they are to be expected since you got yours in Denver.
 
Hair dryer and goo-gone for the sticker on the fuel tank....:D
