You had your bike at the dealership, and I assume that you had it there for the reason you've mentioned in this thread. Why didn't you have them service the bike? Don't replace a TPS unless you can confirm that it's faulty. You may want to investigate other possibilities since the diagnostics didn't seem to confirm your original suspicions. Additionally, the TPS shown in this thread is not for an 1199. The throttle position sensors for the 1199 are not meant to be replaced separately, and other than pre-owned units found on Ebay (or the like), you're not likely to find one. If you can determine beyond any doubt that you have a faulty TPS, the two most viable options would then be: 1) Install a new throttle body, which comes complete with the TPS and ETV motor, but will cost over $1400.00, or"¦ 2) Purchase a pair of pre-owned throttle bodies. They can usually be found for less than $150.00. Even if the TPS was sold separately, the throttle body would have to be removed to be replaced.
