Go with the ABS, if you are concerned about cost go with the ABS, if you are concerned about your safety go with the ABS, if you are concerned about resale go with the ABS, need I go on....?

:) like I said good points and im leaning towards the '13. A big part of that is because like someone else pointed out, ABS is going to be the standard here in the near future.

My deal with ABS is simply and my own opinion, so here it goes...

I like to ride my bike, man and machine, not too many creature comforts or electronics (and dont tell me buy another bike then lol) or too many rider assist features. Even with my TC I set to 2 or 3 depending on conditions.

Point im trying to make is, yes like airbags its there if you need it but at this point its not a deal breaker ya know? I wouldn't go buying a bike just because it has ABS.

With that said, yes I may be a new ABS (on a motorcycle) believer. Thanks guys

You could probably get an even better deal if you wanted to man up and just have them remove and keep the rear brake to, if its just you and machine, then you might enjoy using the HEAL FOOT BRAKE, Just saying :D

Ducenzo,

People used to--still do--mock TC like some mock ABS.

After putting ~70,000 miles on the street in ~4.5 years, I'd say ABS is definite YEAH!!!

Have you exhausted all the options?
1. Bargained for better deal on the '13. (If my dealer could work with me on an April 5 delivered R, your guy could do better.)

2. Look for a 12 with ABS (not many around I'm sure) and get the best of both worlds.

I vote ABS *IF* you can get it to withing $1000 of the price without. Otherwise I think that it is not worth it if it cost that much more. I know that some belive "you cant put a price on safety but if that were really the case then everyone would be riding with the most expensive DOT brain bucket on the market but that doesnt happen because of other factors for example, cost, value, comfort, ect.

You can always ask for the option to have the DEB installed on the middle of the tripple tree clamp (Ducati Ejection Button) at cost.

To each their own.
Why haven't you made a choice yet?
Hurry go ride before the summer ahem........HEAT!!!!
