1299R FE PRoduction number post

Moto Rapido from UK have announced today that they have been informed that the
production run has now ended. As they are pretty well connected, there is no real
reason to doubt their statement.

I just toured the Ducati factory in Bologna Italy last week, I saw the production of the FE and also the V4. Its quite a sight to see how they are dedicated to building these bikes.

But, i asked about the production numbers and they stated they will produce the FE until there are no more orders for them. As of last week, they were making close to 20 a day (slow season, the factory puts out about 150 bikes total from all models in the slow season and up to 450 a day total in the high season as they are hand assembled.)

I got number 528 and my dealer has another one for sale which is well in the 600 numbers (don't know the exact number).

In Germany you still can order them.

Hello,

got mine on Friday and have #767. While prepping mine another customer fell in love and they tried to order one for him right away but Ducati would not accept any more orders. He ended up finding one at a dealer in Marseille who still had one in stock. Assuming that they are still producing I guess we will end up close to 1000 in the end.

Thank you for our feedback. So under 1000!? That is a low production number!. I am starting to think I may not ever ride mine and sell it in 5 years

That sounds like a travesty. Ride that thing like it was made to do! Otherwise may as well just buy a cardboard cutout to look at.

I have the redline on mine. Kit #3 from them. It sounds absolutely killer, dropped 10lbs and bumped the HP +10. I have the rapidbike evo on too, but need a good map, it's running really rich at the moment. Still waiting on the carbon belly pan before I fit the spare fairing I have. The current fairing was the one that originally melted with the stock exhaust and Ducati replaced. I chopped it to make the redline fit since it was already ruined.

It's a pretty tight fit in a few places but doesn't affect riding. I'm swapping the stock rearsets shortly for adjustables so clearance will increase there. The exhasut mount spring is rubbing against the stock set.

And recently swapped on the new BST carbon shoes...It's almost hard to explain how well the bike handles now.

Mine is #322, it was deliverded November 17 in France and I'll pass 2000 km this afternoon.

I've been told that production was stopped a week after #547 was delivered...

Sorry didn't see this. I was, still am I reckon. The Akra? Half ass cast header flange bull. At $1500 she'd be fine. After just reading others are getting a remake from Redline just now? I hate all of them, Ducati for allowing this nonsense, and myself for this being my life goal build. Well over $100,000.00 in now; WSBK spec and beyond.

Seeing the first V4 Speciales on the market now, does anybody know if the 1299 FE production is now stopped?

Her in Germany there are still plenty of them available at the dealers, but I'm interested to know if the production is stopped or not and if so, how many of them have now finally been build?

Seeing the numbers on the steering, which are three digits only, I would assume it'll be less then 1000.

Any infos are welcome.

...this Saturday I'm going to ride mine again at a beautiful and sunny day in Germany (which is not common this time of the year

I have my 600 miles on her now and about to do the oil change, chain tightening and bolt check on her.
