Shaka ever try Egosque?
Had to google that. It appears to be along the lines of the physical therapy and workout regimes that I do. It wasn't until two years ago that someone actually took the time to explain alignment etc to me. I've learned a ton and gained back a lot of the athleticism that I lost. The gym I work with mainly specializes in it actually, but I have never heard it called that.
However, I couldn't even sit cross legged as a child. I'm really working on the range of motion on my hips now specifically for riding. It was a running joke all through my athletic career that if I could tough my toes I would have been an olympic athlete. I simply did not think it was possible for me to ever be flexible and largely ignored it growing up. It was fine before I had injuries, but now it's something I have to pay attention to. One of my physical therapists recently explaining to me that anyone who is unconscious can be placed into the splits with no physical damage. That really left an impression on my, it's now a goal.
I can still do this at 5'11" though
However, this is Kope's thread and I want to see him elbow down on his new bike, but would you mind sending me a PM with some places I could learn more about Egoscue? I'm always wanting to learn more about things that can help me with my goals.
