What a disappointment. Ducati appear to have given up and have produced a bike to a specific price point.

Not different enough to the S for my liking.

Cheers,

Harry

It is probably the features of the 2014 Panaigale, and they wanted to get them out early to have their advantages on the track for all of 2013. Just guessing here...

Not to be a hater but I kinda agree. I was waiting for this announcement to decide what I wanted (S or R). I would have paid up to $40K for something *more* special. Guess I'll wait for the market to dictate what I end up with. Looks like it will be an S for me.

Not as trick as previous R or SPS's. I sold my 999r to get the 1199s and dont regret it. Judging by the picture looks like abs and not carbon panels ( nose cone can see red inside). If i didnt get the s i would consider it, but at 30k and a previous r at 40k one wonders if its just a S with some a couple of mods. I would have liked to see a carbon block or lighter wheels, even the shock is still electronic. Not trying to hate, I do like that ducati kept the price down, but I would have prefered a high price tag and some serious mods.
