for what it s worth ..... to have any indication at the diff between a 1199S and a 1299S as to performance...

a buddy of mine switched this winter, took his 1299S to Spa and dropped 5 seconds of on his 2nd outing..... from 2:52 to 2:47.... 3 of those can be attributed to the bike if guess....

If your mate picked up 5 seconds from swapping to a new bike there was clearly room for improvement in what he was doing before . The bike is good but not that good .
I'm taking out my new 1299 to the track this weekend for the first time If I improve my times I will be happy .
Racing at Phillip Island in three weeks so really need to get the bike sorted .
