2014 1199R Corse Rake Angle Kit

Just curious what running the Pirelli superbike slick with the 60 series sidewall versus the 55 oem size does to steering angle? Should I shorten shock to compensate for the taller rear tire?

It does feel much taller in the rear.

Go for a ride. See how it feels. If you have jacked up the rear steering will be much quicker

I reckon W will be correct and you will not feel much

When I got my bike back in May 2012 I tried to lower the seat height because I am a short ass
I lowered the rear 12 mm
Went for a ride
It slowed the steering that much I put it back as quick as I could

Took the rubber bungs out of the seat instead

I really like the 60 profile slicks. Yes it feels taller initially but it settles into 'normal' feeling very quickly. Either i get used to it or if wears of fast lol.
No need to change geometry.

I rode to new tire at the track and it felt taller in the pits. I crashed on my third lap so I never got a real feel for the superbike slicks. I was coming off of the Pirelli pro slick, which is oem size. The crash was completely my fault, I realize that. Just curious if anyone running expert speeds had any feedback on setup. I probably have a lot of bad habits from my years is motocross.

Ya im running the bottom end of race pace and superbike slicks are very good in stock 1199 geometry setup. Feels better than 200/55 rear.
I'm in process of putting the 24 degree kit. Curious his or would feel afterwards. Next year I'll let you know

I sure hope you guys are doing the 24 degree rake kit with the swing arm pivot for the non R Panigales. Or, at the very least getting your geometry checked at places like GMD.

Thanks for the feedback guys!! I will consider the 24deg rake kit and the swing arm pivot. I will be making a trip to Boston to have Computrack check her for me this spring.

What about going further and opting for the 2015 1199R 23.5 degree bush insert kit.?

Ducati.com says the 2015 Panigale R has 24 degree rake. Where are you getting 23.5 from?

I will have to look it up, but was either from another members postings/findings on here or one of the other many ducati forums I go on.

Also,
If you notice the actual 2015 1199R Bush kit has a totally different no to the 2013/14 24 degree kit.

The member stated its what he knew/found out and was 23.5 degree and not 24 degree as stated by ducati ???

2015 R will give you the decreased rake and +5mm in wheelbase. As the cups are offset further 5mm

Any chance anyone has the part numbers for the R swing arm pivot change for the non R bikes? Also how does the rear esentric effect geometry? Where are you guys running the esentric? I'm trying to learn.

Here is the parts list. Some of the screws from the base can be used. I'm having GMD ATL setup the geometry so that the rake a trail are where they are suppose to be.

Does the R swing arm pivot eccentric change the length 5 mm for non R models after this mod? Or are those specs for the 15 R? Also where are you fast guys running your rear axle eccentric?

You guys know that the 1299/1299S side mounts are set -4mm lower then the 1199, as per the 1199R lowest setting, so if you don't want adjustable setup, buy the 1299/1299S mounts for -4mm lower.

Also just a little note, the BSB - WSBK panny runs 20mm longer swingarm setup. Would love to know the reason for that mod.

They cut the standard arm and add on a piece from the images I seen
