2014 1199R Corse Rake Angle Kit

You guys know that the 1299/1299S side mounts are set -4mm lower then the 1199, as per the 1199R lowest setting, so if you don't want adjustable setup, buy the 1299/1299S mounts for -4mm lower.

Also just a little note, the race wsbk panny runs 20 or 25mm longer swingarm setup. Would love to know the reason for that mod.

They cut the standard arm and add on a piece from the images I seen
(Will try find picture again and add to this post)

What side mounts are you referring to? Any chance you can post a pic please.

He is reffering to the left and right brackets that the rearsets attach to. He is the right bracket for a Panigale R I bought.

Ljuice, what rearsets are you running? I believe I can achieve the 4mm lower with my woodcraft rearsets. Just curious what the purpose of the R rearset mounts, are they required for the R swing arm pivot mod?

It's not about making the rearset -4'mm, it's to make the swingarm sit -4mm lower. You have to do the R swingarm pivot mod to achieve this.

I will be running Lightech rearsets this year.

Thank you for the explanation. I've raced motocross for many years, just got into this sport last season. Please excuse my newbie questions, I'm learning. Any set up recommendations are greatly appreciated as I'm running fast expert times at my track with very little experience on the pavement.

I sure hope you guys are doing the 24 degree rake kit with the swing arm pivot for the non R Panigales. Or, at the very least getting your geometry checked at places like GMD.
Wouldn't running rake angle kit and standard swingarm pivot on 1199s be equal to 1199R running +0 swingarm pivot position?

I believe so, but the best position that everyone is moving to is -4mm. So, the rake kit alone won't get you there. The -4mm gets you better drive out of the corners. I'm interested to see what GMD ATL doesn't once I get the bike back together and get the bike measured.

GMD ATL?

I'm just curious how the rake angle affects this bike so i really want to run it with just rake angle change. That's no. 1 reason.
No. 2 reason is I'm broke. Maybe swingarm pivot change sometime this year hahaha

Suspension specialist, GMDAtl.com. I asked Jarel and he said the pivot makes more of a difference but they're both a positive change

Ah cool.
Yeah, i would love the swingarm pivot. But that is 1000$ vs 100$ rake angle kit which someone here happened to have for sale. So id leave that for next time :)

Unfortunately it's not as easy as buying the 1299 engine mounts and putting them on an 1199. The swingarm bolts doesn't line up with the rest of the mounts on the engine. By that I mean the two M8 fastening bolts on the right side and the three on the left side. I had the same idea for my winter build but found out the expensive way....

If you're going to adjust the swingarm pivot, might as well just get the adjustable setup from the 1199R. It's about $700 worth of parts to convert an 899/1199 over to the adjustable (+2 / 0 / -2 / -4) setup.

Here's a list of the parts, which you can get from your dealer or from our OEM parts page on our web site at Ducati Omaha - Ducati OEM Parts Ordering System - Parts Fiche - Ducati Parts

I bought my 2014 1199R used and although I got the full exhaust system in a box, the previous owner didn't have the rake kit or exhaust up map. So it looks like i'm buying a tune and a rake kit. Since I have to purchase the kit anyway, is the 2015 R kit available for a 14' bike and were there any other changes I should note to make mine work with that setup?

I'm not positive but doesn't yer bike come with the rake kit installed? Some one please chime in. Don't waste your money on the up map, do a rexxer or other tune.

The 2014R has the rake kit installed bro.

That's what I thought. It's a homologated race bike, it wouldn't make sense if it wasn't installed but what do I know.... I ride the budget version, which isn't too budget anymore. Lol

Are you sure? I've read conflicting sources where it's included in the package with every 14R but not necessarily installed. Similar to the full system.

It does not have the later rake kit . The 15 bikes and the 1299 were the first bikes fitted the modified rake .

Yep you can swap out the inserts and change the rake . I usually will have my swing arm set on -4 this seems to work well .
The 1299 pretty much has this set up.
