2014 Ducati Models??

The junior Pani which is to replace the 848 EVO is one that almost everyone here has been talking about. My dealer thinks that this is pretty much a guarantee unless something drastically changes.

I also seem to hear about a 1198 version of the Monster.. also the Streetfighter seems to have only one model now which is the 848 so probably they may add more to that line.. not sure why they discontinued the 1098s

All this seems to be speculation anyways until the official presscon next week. Atleast I don't have to regret that there is something better than the R for next year.

Also my dealer tells me that there is a price hike for 2014 so all Panis are going to cost more which is one reason why I bought my R now and not next spring. Gotta wait 2 weeks before I can pick up my baby.

The 1098 SF is a bit of a thing, in terms of user friendliness.
So in that regard it would not appeal to a lot of rider's idea of anything other than a hoon/hooligan bike, and not necessarily for the faint hearted.
I think that's why the 1098 was destined to be weeded out of the line up due to lower sales volumes.

Hope the Panigale R doesn't have the same fate due to the high price but the Panigale lineup as a whole are dream bikes and all of us here have one thing in common.. WE ARE PANIGALE LOVERS

It would be stupid to phase out a model that's barely a year old.. even the Streetfighter 1098 lasted 2 yrs before being removed..

My dealer generally is accurate about whats coming so I asked him about the Pani lineup for 2014 and apart from the replacement for the 848 EVO, he doesn't see anything displacing the 1199s for now..

As per my earlier post, prices for 2014 are only going one way... UP. I had my 200cc Honda for 9 years and it served me well and my R will be with me for a while atleast so that I get my money's worth

Black color option please on the 1199! Lol

Might be time to trade if that happens.

Maybe some more 821-testastretta powered models?

Lol, imagine if they use that to power the baby-Pani :p

I like black but with a bike like the Pani which uses a full fairing, visibilty at night is an issue and the Pani doesn't have many reflective parts unlike other models..

yes for 2014MY

Are you sure about black coming for 2014? I saw the black for the 848 and it was not a glossy fairing unlike the other bikes and wasn't too fond of it.. I wouldn't bother trading.. Red is a pretty slick color and it is the Ducati color anyways so why change.. Thats just my 2 cents..

no replacement for the 1199 for at least a couple of years

ducati nyc has a gloss black in their showroom. they also had a matte black like the evo. black is fairly simple to do.

Just based on the custom bikes I've seen, I think black looks outstanding on the Panigale. I'd love to see this color implemented for MY2014.

see the parts list for 2014

They may add it as accessories probably like the race fairing set in white but idk if it will come as a dedicated color.. The issue I have with black is that that color is a dirt magnet for some reason and is very easily visible compared to the others..

Well that picture is from the standard parts catalogue for 2014 model which shows the Black or Red panel part numbers

Depends on which Pani models they plan to add black to.. the base and S would see a nice sales boost for the addition of black to the color lineup but we gotta wait till next week to see what the official announcement is

Just the "S" available in Red or Black
