When I put the put bolt back in, does the head need to face the chain or I can reverse it so I have easier access if I want to ever change the lever out again?

I believe it does need to go back in the same way as it threads into the lever assembly from the back side through the heim joint for the shift shaft.

I would also loc tite it again as it can definitely vibrate loose. (don't ask me how I know that)

Blue or Red Loctite? Since I know you have experience.

Blue is fine. Just something to keep it from vibrating loose.

Got it done and everything closed up with Blue. Letting it cure overnight.

Now gotta put all the fairings back on...ugh.

In case anyone looks this thread up, Ducati used Red wherever they could.
