Sirbrah- did you order the 2018 V4 kit from Tankslappers or do they offer a V2 specific kit now?
V4 extended kit. No V2 yet. The only difference is the tank. You can see about custom ordering the v4 with 959 tank.

I'm just going to ceramic pro the whole bike and place r&g grips on tank when they make a kit for it

Found a problem with the front wheel guard. The left and right sides. The molding it was created from isn't flush so the xpel isn't adhering to these spots.

Rather frustrating but I might have to offhold on this location for now.

Forget the front mud guard, I’ve seen the work of even the best expert installers become foggy. For example 650ib’s 2020 S1000RR M Sport “new bike build” had ppf with condensation under it on the front mud guard around the curves on the day it was delivered to its new owner Walter.

Is there a trick? maybe use strips of ppf or slice it in specific places. Or just skip it entirely and just slick the fender.

I would just either skip it or u can attempt to make half inch or 3/4 inch cuts to accommodate the bad molding.

Also, after finally finishing the rest of the front completely. The side fairings are not a match at all. For instance the belly pan doesn't have exhaust cutouts like the v2. Nor is there upper fairing connection to the tank. As well, the kit came with a rear seat delete xpel ( ill buy this later) . All n all the kit only worked for the front total, and rear if u have a passenger delete.

Anybody planning on buying it for their v2 hold off until a kit comes availible.

Feck. I wonder ppf for 959 belly fairings would be either a better match or an exact fit.

At least your bike is clean and protected now. Can’t wait to see some pix

It might on the belly pan. I know the tanks are the same. Ill reach out to tankslappers to see if they are working on a kit for v2

Ceramic is now curing for 24 hours. It came out amazing.

Day 1 was checking over the every inch of the bike for scratches/imperfections. After locations were noted I went through a few steps to break down the old wax (if any were on Ducati from factory), go over the whole bike fixing the imperfections, and let the pain recover.

Day 2 Checked over my work and fix anything I wasn't satisfied with ( I found quite a few). After those fixes were done I had moved onto prepping the bike for Xpel Film. I had some issues with fitment on some of the body work which I had to make some adjustments to the original plan. After I finished with the application of Xpel I gave the bike a few hours to properly seal the Xpel under lamp. Once the bike had been checked for any issues I moved onto Ceramic coating. All body work was covered.

Final thoughts on Ceramic Coating. This stuff is amazing. I noticed almost immediately after applying and buffing that the paint had become like glass. The red is much more rich than it previously was. Ceramic made the Xpel almost non existent as well. I am a happy customer of this product and project weekend.

Update: Tankslappers has fully measured the v2 at his dealer and will be creating a kit for the V2. Original and extended versions.

He has confirmed the tank is the 959 fitment. The side fairings are going to need to be created. The belly pan matches the 959. Tail section is the same as the v4. However, he doesn't have a kit for passenger seat.
The Front nose, mirrors, headlights, air ducts, forks, front cowel are all matching the v4 2019.

I'm awaiting his reply for ETA on the kit.

Thanks for the info! Great news!

There are a few rock chips on the leading edges of the fairings. 2,000 miles, it’s just abt broken in for me. It’s always filthy too, even just after I wash it. Always riding

I’ll get it all fixed up someday. The paint was atrocious when the dealership dropped it off.
You should PPF your headlights

The tankslapper kit luckily came with full headlight protectant. I also added the extra fork and tire guard.
