2020 V4 Arrow+Filter running issues

It has to be mapped. Once the Cats are removed it won’t run correctly. I have the Akra slipons and upmap and mine runs absolutely perfectly.
I hate that they make you pay so much for the Akra/upmap official upgrade but it works flawlessly.
From the feedback I recieved (and previously posted) Woolich will have nothing coming soon so don’t hang on the “wait for Woolich” comments, it’s worth waiting for but isn’t an imminent upgrade.

UPDATE!!!!!

So i plugged it in with the ducati tech and the ducati diagnostic tool and we didn't see anything too noticeable. So i went home, let it fully cool (with the aid of an ac ) and i flashed the stock tune with the termi T800. I kept the db killers in and started it to heat cycle it to let it learn the new trims (let it run from cold start, dont touch anything and let fans come on and shut off twice, key off for five minutes min) instantly engine light upon start. I let it heat cycle then plugged in my brentune tuner amd read the ecu, looked at the error codes and wiped them (they were just codes that were cause from flashing). And now....its a ....... beast. No flat spots. Pulls very hard and constant.. tomorrow im going to now cold start and heat cycle with db killers out and we'll see. Definitely very satisfied.

ElderBobo,

What map did you use to flash it? Did you use the full system map with the DB installed?

I had the full exhaust without db killers installed and i just flashed back to stock with the T800. I think in order to get it running good you need a fresh install of stock map and heat cycle the proper way. After building the trims im the ecu then try flashing a termi if you want and itd prob be good. I personally might try to flash termi again just for the hell of it but im waiting for brentune especially since i already have the flashing tool.

ElderBobo,

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Please let me know if you feel the flat spot at 7K when you take out the baffles, and do the learning again.

When I installed the Arrow, I did the same process with the heat cycle and let the fan kick in twice and then shut it off for 5 minutes. I haven't try to flash it since slip-on map wasn't available, but I do have the T800 in my possession.

It runs great for me, except that flat spot at 7k. BTW, I don't have my baffles installed.

Will do, im trying it in the morning, i can tell you with the baffles installed at the moment that flat spot isn't there.

Thanks again, I might install them after hearing back from you on your test ride.

As you know, the sound without the baffles are Intoxicating.

plugged in my brentune tuner
is that from flashing another bike? I have my BrenTuning (Dimsport) handheld with my 1299 files... bren said 2020 models are diff than 18/19, but they could use wide bands to target correct AFR, but that doesn’t sound like a tru solution, another bandaid. Tired of waiting now that the exhaust is fixed but it actually seems to be running fine after the heat cycles but I’m sure there’s more power available

I just bought it, their site said 2020 and then when i sent in my ecu image they said it wasnt supported yet and they fixed their website. When i talked to them they said the tuner will be compatible (which it obviously is, i was able to read and save my ecu image) so when they supprt it i will just send my ecu image and the questionnaire they send and ill have a tune.

U were the one... I emailed them probably within minutes of u figuring it out with them and they emailed back

im pleased with the flash they provided for my 1299. No one can support my 2020 V4 fast enough

thanks for clarifying. This is why I wanted the Akra + UpMap but no way $$$,$$$,$$$

should I go with tuneboy until there’s a real solution?

I'd have to look at the tuneboy (haven't heard of it) the method i mentioned previously has worked very very well. I personally am going to wait for the brentune. Until then my stock tune thats adjusted to my upgrades will be good from what it seems so far.

What’s this heat cycle thing you are talking about?

Also wondering how it can learn anything other than what it’s doing at idle which would not help with throttle or under load etc???

The heat cycle is having your bike fully cold, start it, don't touch anything and let it have the fans come on twice, once they shut off the second time key off for five minutes minimum. That gives it it's base trims to run at. From there any riding under 6,500 rpm it will work on adjusting and applying trims to its mapping.

good point might be hosh posh. Apparently running the bike through 2 cycles of the rad fan coming on. Then shut the bike off. Idk if it’s true or if the bike needs to be freshly flashed for it to actually work.

I heat cycled mine with the slipon and it’s running fine

This is the procedure that my Ducati tech gave me and he's very knowledgeable. The first certified Ducati tech in the US. He was also named the top tech one year and number 2 and 3 multiple years in a row. He lives and breathes Ducati.

Thank you for clarification... until now, I only heard this info from a knuckle head youtuber.

I still want a dyno tune

ElderBoBo,

How does it run with the baffles out now? Also, did you ever try the other map on T 800 with DB?
