2023 Ducati Panigale V4s - loose front end

That might be a lot of spring up front for your body weight brother. I’m 6 to 8 kg heavier than you and both Ohlins and my suspension tuner told me to keep the front spring rate between 11 and 12. But cautioned me against going with 12 unless I really had to. Toward the higher end of that range you gain a bit of stability on braking and turn in, but you loose a lot of mid-corner feel grip and stability. So I have an 11 in one side and a 12 in the other side to blend out to 11.5.

I’m closer to 108 kg now, and that’s nekkid btw. I know it’s on the stiffer end of the spectrum, but I’m still using all of the travel under braking, even after adding 15 ml of oil per leg to reduce the air gap. I find it works quite well for me.

There are times where I’m using too much travel too at 11.5. My suspension tuners and coaches say I should smooth my braking out instead of stiffening up the suspension more to keep better mid-corner grip and stability. Brake less hard and carry more roll speed into the turn and then enjoy the greater mid-corner stability at higher speeds.

Though it’s probably splitting hairs, closer to 6 of one and halve dozen of the other than a big difference.

Maybe consider revalving the cartridge if your springs are heavier than 10.5 if you already haven't? Shim stacks are only good for a certain range of spring and at 12 Nm you're probably at the limit of rebound adjustment. But then again if you're happy with it then just ride it

Mine’s custom valved by Ohlins specifically for that, and takes into account my Swingarm and the linear shock link

The guy who worked on my suspension checked with Öhlins if there were different valves available for the electronic version, but apparently they only have different valves for the manually adjustable ones, so I just fiddled with rebound and compression until I was reasonably happy with the settings. I’m considering dropping down to 11 N/mm in one leg and reducing the air gap more when I have the suspension refreshed for this season, but will see what the guy recommends.

Yeah my carts are manually adjusted.
