Limited to 500.

Interesting that this seems to have replaced the SP2 on the UK, Italian and German websites (didn’t check any others).

Because the SP2 is $5000 less…for the EXACT same bike with about $100 in extra decals and embroidery on the seat, what would it look like if they had both bikes right next to each other on a website 😂😂😂

Don’t forget they include the DP brake ducts and give you a certificate and a cover for the extra $5,000. 👍

For less money than they want for this you could buy an original Fogarty SPS… one of 200(?) and actually looks like a 916 because… 🤣 If I was collecting I’d be getting that over this new one.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this which previously was not listed on the DWP 24 lineup…

I noticed that too. They will probably go over their bicycles. Too late (after EICMA, etc.) to show off a new motorcycle I would imagine.

Looks like another collaboration motorcycle... check out the end of this clip

So the FIM rule book I linked is incorrect?

It is correct but you have not read it correctly.

500 is the correct number.

“The minimum production numbers of the model intended to be raced (in the relevant World Championship) are:

Superbike and Superstock 1000/1100 Categories:

- 125 units of the motorcycle on the date of the homologation visit.
- A total of 250 units on the 31st December of the intended first racing year.
- A total of 500 units on the 31st December of the following year.”

I think Ducati just about managed to meet their requirement... 🤣

It made me laugh that they delayed announcing the new bike with the increase from 40,000 Euros to 44,000 Euros until the day the FIM announced the increase in the maximum retail price from 40,000 Euros to 44,000 Euros. 🫣
