Got a 21' panigale v4s here with nearly 10 000km. I haven't driven so much this year, but weather conditions generally dont exceed 25C in this part of the world.
I never had any overheating issue. The fan is ofc running high when it's warm and i drive in traffic or city but that's it.
I have the akra race exhaust installed and race up map installed, not because 12 additional hp were woth the extra 5k but because I wanted to get rid of the double catalyst ..... in the stock exhaust which creates this overheating issue. Plus to keep compliant with euro crap the air fuel ration is very lean which makes the bike heat even more.
Did you all have the stock exhaust when this happened?
I also had the rear breakline on my 2013 vrod melting after 2 years, and the engine even stopped running sometimes in the city when it was 35+C. Same thing I had the header pipes changed to get rid of the catashit and new mapping of the engine.
I got a 22' gsa as well, and even in winter the fans can be running loud just by leaving it idle for a minute. This one does not have any catalyst delete, and I was told by bmw that's a nightmare to do due to electronics.
It's only going to be worse and worse with the restrictive euro rules ..... an the race to more power.
Also never buy a new bike during its 1st year of production!
