S1000's don't make those numbers either. Seen an HP4 on another dyno and it made 175hp, then a base S1000RR imediately wheeled onto the dyno and it made 171hp. Both bikes were stock. Also as far as playing with the correction factor, you don't enter the numbers for temp and all that in the computer unless the dyno is really old. The weather station built in the computer hardware does it all for you. But people can fool the weather station by putting it near the eddy brake or another heat source so it will over correct. I own a dyno, so I know how they work. Also a good software hacker could get into the winpep and make it so you can change things. As far as Eraldo Feracci is concerned he has always been known to be full of crap.

Yep, I bet you're exactly right on that Kope! I bet the factory steel conrods were designed to handle the loads created up to about 100HP each. That could be why the R comes from the factory with the higher performance Ti units...

That IS the reason .. Lighter so less mass AND stronger .. Tx

My point being that I doubt the dyno always automatically populates the exact information at the time of the test. So the operator can, or has to enter the values manually and then the numbers change.

Most dynamometers have built in weather stations and they automatically populate the correct fields on a per run basis. If the bike's owner is given a copy of the run file, he/she can open it with free software and see how the vehicle performed with or without corrections.
