Hi guys,

There are a few threads regarding bellypan but I couldn't find anything 100% clear to answer my question.

I'd like to know if you can fit bellypan with stock exhaust on the 899? (can't afford to spend 2k for silencer just to fit bellypan at this point)
If yes, what bellypan have you installed? did you have to make any changes to fit it?
Would be absolutely amazing if you have done this and you have photos to share so that I know what needs to be done and how it looks like after the install?
I'm a little bit confused as how it will fit with stock exhaust and standard fairing!

Thanks a lot

99.9% of readily available belly pans don't fit with the stock exhaust.

here in the US, we use aluminum turkey pans from the supermarket to fit them between engine and stock exhaust. this is legal as per the rules for club racing.

"We" :confused:

More like "Some people" :p

I used it as an excuse to get a full akra system. lol

That's a great idea, do you have any pictures of what you have done?

Another option is to buy any belly pan that's available or cheapest and modify the back part as that is where the OEM exhaust gets in a way. In my poorer days I did that with armor bodies belly pan. I cut out the parts that got in the way. Than molded a reasonable shape using turkey stuff SOME people mentioned here :) . Tested the shape and then adde fiberglass cloth and epoxy on the outside of turkey stuff and it was solid. Make sure to use resin that has good thermal properties as it runs hot down there :) I don't have pictures as I did that in 2013 and not proud of the looks , but it worked and race inspection was passed :)

Many race clubs don't allow just the tin foil stuff. It has to be solid and fixed mounted bla bla.

Thanks a lot guys.
Got the idea. Tin foil, fiberglass cloth, epoxy and modified belly pan it will be :)

I have to wonder - how'd this turn out? I'm building a 959 so I'll have a similar custom fab project.

I ended up upgrading to Termi slipon and buy an oil tray from Ilmberger Carbon which has amazing quality.
