Uhmm!! Can you point to this "DesmoVeloce ride height adjuster"? I'm not sure what is for!

Thanks

OH I'M SO EXCITED!!!! WHO WANTS AN 899 TRACK BIKE?????

Well, I'm not excited that someone went ditch-diving an 899, but I'm excited that he didn't get hurt, I'm excited that he got a great buy-back on it from his insurance company after it was totalled due to a bent fork, broken triple clamp and scuffed bodywork, and I'm REALLY excited that we got it from him now and are ready to turn it into a sweet track bike!!! I have a complete fresh new front end ready to put on it and you could pick your upgrades for the track, we can build it and deliver it ready to ride. PM me if you're interested.

WAIT WHAT IS THIS!!!!

Yeah, got a couple PM's on it the past couple of weeks but I honestly can't believe someone hasn't jumped all over this for a track bike! If I could have started with this one instead of my brand new 899 it would have saved me MANY THOUSANDS of dollars! I PM'd you MrKO, maybe you'll be the lucky one! ;)

Looks great Jarel!!! Is one of the planned mods getting rid of that butt ugly swing arm???:p

I would have preferred that my 1199 had a double sided swing arm as it is lighter and more rigid. :p

Apparently no one saw the first post..... PM me if you're interested, I don't want to post any info about this in my track bike thread, it's already been thread-jacked enough! Ha ha!

I went "Old School" and put 1198 M4 Monoblocs on my 899!

I actually just did it because no on makes racing brake pads of the 899 calipers yet........ Had to change the brake lines to 1199 lines to make it work, and it's still not "right" but it will work. There will be some LATE braking going on at the track this weekend!

Get with TJ about the pinch bolt trick to get the wire to the axle better.

Had a great weekend at Motorsports Park Hastings! I was able to make some changes to my AiM data logger/video setup and get a live track map on the video as well as showing the DTC intervention, which is pretty cool to see since you can't really tell what it's doing when you're riding.

Here are a couple laps with the new AiM setup:

Is there any reason an 899 motor can't be made to rev out to 12,000? Is it a lost cause with the stock cams maybe?

It should be able to rev even higher in race trim. My 848 race bike revved to 12,000 so I'm expecting 12,500 or even 13,000 when we build the 899 engine due to the much shorter stroke. In stock trim 11,000 is the spot to shift, it has over rev to 11,500 but there's no additional power there so best drive is shifting at 11,000.
