I received my connector kit from DucOmaha. Three plugs come with it. I installed to kickstand bypass plug already, but the rear subframe with harness is at my other shop today, so I'm not sure which of the other connectors is for the tail light, and have no idea what the 3rd plug is for. Anyone know?
Thanks,
Brett

The one on the right is if you remove the fan from the bike. Cannot remember what the other is for.

THANKS!!! I know the other is for tail light, gets rid of the damn warning on the dash. I have removed the fan, so that is a huge help.

Hello Gents,
I want to remove my fans to accommodate my FM project racing manifold..
Will one of these plugs prevent the CEL appearing after I remove the fans??

I beleive the one on the left is the ignition bypass plug. Prince Albert. I think you need the one on the right.

Great info! I ordered the same from Ducati omaha this past season and was unsure what they all want to.

Delete plugs for headlights and tail-lights

Can you guys enlighten me as to what I will need when I eliminate the headlights and tail-lights as I progress with my track-bike conversion?
(I plan to keep the side-stand and radiator fan.)
Links to products would be ideal.
Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly I had to disconnect one wire from the sensor on front brake switch. Think I did the same for the rear but not positive. Nothing needed for the headlights, I just zip tied them together. If you fail to disconnect to sensors you will get a Light on the dash when u apply brakes. This goes off when you turn off bike and doesn't need to be cleared.
Hope this helps.

As far as I can remember rear break/tail light connector was not included in this kit. Dealer told me that a separate connector can be ordered from Ducati.

Only the load on the brake light is checked by the ECU. You can either disconnect both brake switches or alternatively put a 1/4W 270 Ohm resistor between ground and the brake light line.

The part number referenced in the OP should (or at least used to) contain plugs for the headlight, brake light, side stand, and fan.

On the advice of Prince Albert (thanks again), I sent a PM to another member here (jarlj), the GM of Ducati Omaha to get his input. With his permission, I post his helpful response below for the benefit of others who want to convert their road bike into a track bike.

For $27 I figure its a good deal, and enables me to take Chaotic's advice about removing side-stand if I choose to do so.

Note: when checking out, enter the discount code "DUCPARTS" to get free shipping, since the order is over the $25 minimum required for ground shipping in the continental USA at no-charge.

"What you need is the "Ducati Racing Electric Connector Kit", it's what is shipped with the Ducati race bodywork kits. This will take care of all the dash errors, it's a complete kit for all of the lights, signals and sidestand. It's considered an OEM Part rather than an accessory, so you can buy it on our OEM parts page using the part number 96580011A, it's $26.99.
Parts ordering page is here:

There's some misinformation in this thread. I just bought this kit myself and installed it. The 3 plugs are for:

1. Headlights
2. Radiator fan (the black one)
3. Kickstand delete (the triangular white one)

There is no plug for the taillight in this kit. I believe the "rear track fairing" kit from Ducati comes with one. But as mentioned above, you can simply disconnect the brake light switch relay to ensure the error never comes up on the dash. It's under the right hand side fairing.

UPDATE courtesy of forum member "jarlj" for those of you who want to get the tail light plug instead of disconnecting the brake light switch.

"Yeah, you're right, I was thinking it was the whole kit but my parts department corrected me on it, there's an additional part number for the rear brake light plug. Part number: 96580021A $15.99"

Does the plug on the left in the first pic allow for the removal of the key/ ignition? My bike is still apart and can't do a test.
