Well with the rear sets on it became a morning of Rizoma as I ripped off the nose cone and fitted the Rizoma mirrors, I can already tell they are going to be WAY better than OEM - man they really are a POS.

I have been speaking to Jav at Bellissimoto the last few days and have ordered a 41T sprocket, carrier, hub flange, bolts, chain and a few other bits and pieces to help clean up the rear and sort out the ride at low rpms - this included the MWR airfilter.
The sprocket is a few days from being in stock so hopefully they arrive in the desert soon and then make their way over here so I can get the bike running right - Thanks Jav for the help and assistance.

They do look tasty Wolf.

Would you mind letting me know the cost of these little beauties?

Thanks mate.

Let me tell you, you'd better be sitting down. Are you ? Then I'll begin:
I checked this whole island of ours and naturally there's a premium On everything but you are looking at:
Adaptor plate $25
Connector kit $20
Mirror $300

This is A SIDE - all up $690.

Fark!

I'll put up with the ..... standard ones, for now anyway ;)

Thanks mate.

They REALLY do look great, but I have heard that the wiring is exposed on the inside a bit. Also, I need my mirrors to fold and I understand you lose that capability with the Rizoma mirrors.

Premium price there, though... you can do the pair for less than one side in the US.

Mirrors

The cost is much of a muchness when you consider shipping. They are the best looking mirrors available for the pani IMO. The lightech are nice but A) they have no indicators and B) the carbon looks a little suspect.
If you want cheap mirrors you can get a set from moto science $275 a pair, they are better than the OEM mirrors but as with everything in life you get what you pay for.
Gunny did a really good write up on the mirrors from moto, I did contact them but they offer no discounts and I wasn't 100% happy with the choices available as one looks like a 1098 replica which were never a good looking mirror in my opinion.
The mirrors are as essential an upgrade as the 41T sprocket. I've had 5 ducatis going back many years and you know that part of the package is the pointlessly ineffective mirrors but the mirrors on the Pani are the worst of the lot, literally can see N O T H I N G.
I managed to wire the Rizomas concealing the wire but if took some creativity and removing the whole nose cone and you have to have another person with you to do it as it requires 4 (preferably 5) hands.
You can fold them once fitted but you need an allan key to loosen them and then swing in and lock again. If mounted properly the space in the nose cone actually allows access to the inverted nut to allow horizontal movement/adjustment.

Those look nice. I have the moto science ones.. I tried two different models before I settled on the ones I liked. He looked after me and even paid for return freight to swap over. That was over a year ago so I cannot remember the price but was about $250 AUD with shipping. Moto Science are foldable like OEM. These do not vibrate like OEM.

We are off for a breakfast ride tomorrow it you are keen. Meet at Narellan Maccas at 0630hrs. Hope to see you and your new mirrors.

Brad, thanks for the invite but with the ankle still In bandages I'll not be riding for a couple of weeks. Keen to meet up after that though.

thats the front, theres another thread here where I show you the improvements to her bum.

Very nice they look trick in the black.

Rocked them in Silver on mine when I first got it. Much better for lane splitting and are much higher quality than OEM even though I prefer the OEM look, just run none now because I can't decide which to run. Still vibrate a lot like OEM though.

A little more bling for fun.

I took these rear axle clips down to my local nickel plater and had them done.

Cost zero. The owner said next time you ride past drop in and show how it turned out. Turns out he is a Ducati fan.

Garage "Bling"

Bling is my very good friend! Congrats!

Bit of Garage "Bling". You know how it is, every time you buy something it comes with a marketing sticker. I have been sticking them (excuse the pun) in a box and thought "have to do something with those one day". I ended up buying some black carbon wrap on ebay for $5. Stuck it on a piece of thin craft wood only 3mm thick and then stuck it up on the wall with the best looking stickers.

Also found the time to stick on a couple of "Ducati Corse" stickers on my "S". I got these from one of the forum sellers here.

Can you show me a better pic of that rear wheel with the conversion done to it Brad?

Hey bradp51
Very cool. Why don't you put some safety wire above the 6 nuts?

You know a Reevu Helmet is a lot cheaper than $600 in mirrors that still vibrate..

Reevu MSX1 Rear-View Helmet - RevZilla

I have been riding with one for a year or two at this point and don't really like to ride with my other 6 helmets, Including Arai, Shoei, Suomy, and Scorpion, My only complaint would be that it has since worn a bit and at higher (read illegal) speeds the helmet will push towards my face a bit that the rearview mirror is no good, but as a helmet it works just fine at those speeds... I may be replacing some cheekpads this year to see if it will eliminate the pushback...

Those mirrors are really nice. I've been thinking about getting a set for my bike also. I'm a little concerned about the brightness of the blinkers. I don't think they're nearly as bright as the blinkers in the stock mirrors. I guess I don't know that for a fact. Maybe I'm wrong. Can someone who has these mirrors installed shed some light on this?? Sorry, no pun intended there with the whole light thing.

the lights are more than adequate. Rizoma install LED's that offer a great clarity of colour and are easily as bright as the standard.

Re the Reevu - Im waiting for the Skully.
