So I've had her about a year. Dropped it, dropped it again, got some termis for her, casual insurance claim, got some track time, third set of tires for the year, hit 10k miles, finally got her on the dyno.

A mild 141 to the rear wheel.

Kind of lost on what to do. Get a 1299..?

Everyone already bashes me at work (aprilia service dept) Everyone's had a panigale, everyone says its too hot. Some say flat out unreliable, but the 959/899 oh that things a work horse.

Is there any much more power that is reasonable for a street bike? Air filter, block of plates is all that's really left, that would just smooth it out a bit not expecting much. A 520 conversion and that's pushing it. Id rather stay with factory chain specs.

Currently on a 200/55 rear tire, could also help to switch back to stock.

Dont really care about the heat, its definitely burned me a couple of times but im used to it. Im in Florida ffs, its hot every time i leave the house.

Just get a v4. The 1299 is great but the only Ducati to have is one under warranty!

I’ll have stock V4 Dyno numbers shortly

Factory chain on 959 is 520
also 200 tire on 5.5" rim isnt ideal.

If your happy with bike then whats the issue?
if your unhappy with losing straigh line roll ons or traffic line drags then get a 1299 or V4

I did not know 520 was factory !

and the 200 tire isnt the best, i hate the way it leans.
i know, but just perks of the job :p take offs from RSV4s

i'm by no means unhappy with the bike, just unsure how much power can squeeze out, not running MR12 or anything crazy like SL pistons hahaha.

I rode the 2019 Ducati v4 and didnt like anything about it. the 1098 SF and the 959 panigale are exactly where my loyalties are.

the 1299 just seems like right move, that sssa, tft display, up and down QS,

Depends are what you want. Here is a quick take for you tho
1- You certainly do not need any more power on the street
2- 141 at the rear wheel isnt bad, based on what you have tho I bet that is a generous number//dyno
3- That tire situation is crazy, put a 180 60 back on

I just re mapped my 959 to race ccs, I used tune boy with full Akra exhaust on VP T4 race gas and turned a 144.96 at the wheel w/ 74.16 torque. 959 is a great bike for figureing out your way around the track, don't get sucked into needing more power to be fast. You simply dont. If you just want a bigger more badass bike to ride around on the streets, knock yourself out. I would bet you will be slower on track on a bigger bike.

Apparently the dyno at the shop reads lower than most places. Not any expert on this kind of stuff, we threw it on there just to see what she was putting down. Stock was 133 with the termi front exit, the tuning guy spent about 3 hours on it. said only thing to seal the deal would be a new air filter and the block off plates.

Considering what is left on the list; i'm not expecting much more, trying not to think too hard about 150 hahaha.
Only going to run the bike on 93 pump.

I'm just waiting for a new shipment of tires, might try some metzlers m7RR or stick to the Rosso III.

I'm already IN the bike, and due to insurance rates would wait for another year (Still have a year of warranty also), before moving up to the big boy bike.

My track weapon is a CBR600 right now. Don't really see myself converting the ducc into one.

Yeah you’re going to have to tune or flash the 1299. It’s a great bike

I was dissatisfied with my V4 purchase. It had no balls compared to my 1299. But now that I dialed all the electronic driver aids (limiters) all the way down, the V4 is brutal and definitely faster to accelerate than my 1299. it puts the power down and gets the bike moving forward like a bike with a much longer swing arm.
Sure the 1299 is much more brutal right off the bat but the front wheel always comes right up and up takes away from forward

U need a good test ride on both bikes. Put ur mask on and come over.
I’m in venice where y@
