i wonder how long it will be before the Akra is ready ? at least there system are full Ti

I'll wait for a less $$$$$$$$$ system. I'll really just need some slip-ons for a few HP and better sound !

Akras will be available around August/September 2012, from what I heard in Milan. They typically work on around a six month lead time from a production model becoming available. They have to have a bike physically on hand to be able to test fit and check the system for clearances etc. Their pipes run very hot (I know as I have a full Ti EVOIII system on my 1098S), so it will be interesting to see how well the lower right hand main fairing copes. As for price, well I would expect it to be in the region of £2400 UK Pounds

geez 3500.00 MSRP for a stainless system??? I hope Ducat can work on the price point of that.

Are you new? Prices have been near that and beyond for several years.
I paid over $3700 for the system on my streetfighter.

Reggie, what bike do you ride in ahrma? I'm trying to find a bike for ahrma for next year.

LOL We have been a Ducati Dealer since the 90's. All Previous superbike models have come with a new computer and exhaust for 3500. The 1199 however does not but is still 3500.

I run a couple TT500's in seventy singles

So is the new map for the termi an upload from a separate device or is it already loaded on the bike's system?

And I completely agree - the pricing is insane for bike exhausts. I can get a full SS exhaust system for my BMW335is for under $1500.

This will be a download put into the computer via the new Navigator/DDS2.0

I will know more on this when our guys get back from Level 2 Panigale training after the 21st of this month

That leads me to ask if the download service would be available for install with aftermarket exhaust systems - Akra, LeoVince etc.?
The tune should be close for any performance exhaust.

You are correct. We are a full line Piaggio Dealer also and that is the way all their ecu's operate. Its funny the Navigator Tool Ducati uses now(DDS 2.0) has been out for Aprilia Piaggio Vespa for years LOL

How much of the exhaust system are we going to have to remove to change the oil? Also regarding aftermarket exhausts I was specifically told that one of the big reasons Ducati went to the new ECU to limit aftermarket tampering of the proprietary software.

Does Ducati consider being able to tune your own bike tampering?

Does anyone know what spec the new 1199 engine will be: Euro 3 or Euro 4 emissions standard?
