Adjusting lever position on the V4

So I guess the front brake lever has a pin so it cannot be rotated down. Has anyone fixed this by removing the pin. I have not done anything yet, but after my ride today it is time. I just want to be cautious and not somehow screw up something else with a bike so complex. But man, I need to rotate that lever pretty far down. I have to move my fingers so far up to use the brake that it is kind of dangerous.

I'd recommend getting an adjustable set from TWM. They are the same exact thing as the Ducati Performance levers, just without the Ducati branding. Therefore, they are much, much less expensive. Was the first thing I did to my V4; I have extremely small hands and had the levers already waiting at home the day I got the bike, can't survive without easily adjustable levers.

I already removed pin and rotated lever down. The clutch hose need to be changed in position to allow proper angle (for me), but is no big deal. Even without pin, lever stays in position for 8000km right now.

Hi,
I estimated the rotational distance and drilled new holes in the bars, works great for me and retains the security against accidental movement. Also sets the levers nice and level with each other

Thanks everyone! Time to pull the pin!

Edit: I did both levers today. I can see why they had them pinned as the clearance for everything is very tight. The pin is stuck into a hole in the clip-on. I used a dremel tool to cut/grind it off and rotate the levers down. Right away something else stops the rotation, and on both sides it is the metal elbow bend from the lever hydraulic lines hitting the front fork. I loosened the banjo bolts just enough to rotate them forward a small amount to get clearance to rotate the lever. Also the front brake fluid reservoir top rubs slightly on the fairing so I bent the bracket down a small amount to get clearance there. All good now, but this bike sure is tightly packaged.
