When I first saw the spandex thing in your picture, I thought you were suppose to take it off?
Thanks for the review and pictures.
I can see from your background that you are a soldier? and PCSing to Germany? Good luck to you over there and have fun!

I ordered mine from Champion Helmet in the Netherlands, and it arrived today:
Fresh out of the box:
On my bean:
Next to my Shoei X-11 Glory for reference:
I wear a medium in any helmet, and that seems to be true of the PistaGP too. It fits snug, but is still very comfortable at first impression. I'm not gonna ride with it today, it's a little cold and still a bit wet out here in North Carolina today.
Strange thing, it has this spandex type piece of fabric that goes across the inside of the helmet when it's not on. Then when you put it on it goes across the top of the forehead. You can see it here when it's not on:
And if you look back to the pic where I have the helmet on, you'll see that band of spandex fabric goes across my forehead, a bit like a sweat band, when the helmet is on. I think because the porthole is so large on this helmet, your forehead would be prominently featured if that piece of black fabric isn't there to cover it. So I think it's a cosmetic thing designed in.
So far, the things that stand out are the quality build and materials of the helmet, fit, and the look of course. So far, very happy I ordered it. I even like that it doesn't have the DOT sticker on it actually. I'll use my X-11 for MSF courses and track days. Then again, I'm moving to Germany for the next three years in April, so the DOT sticker won't mean anything over there.
