I used to work in emissions capture..... The carbon canister isn't going back in due to the hot start issues. The AIS doesn't interfere with anything other than getting the correct readings from the widebands, so might as well assist in converting some CO into CO2.
Even if it doesn't go back in, the caps on cost AUD$12.
@B Topp hey Brian have you tried removing the resistor since going in with Woolich and turning off the AIS?
