Akrapovic Exhaust on a Panigale

My dealer said if I don't change the map and keep running the full Termi upmap, I would still have my warranty.

Not worth the risk for me as I doubt the gains from Rexxer over the R upmap is significant enough to throw my full warranty out the window...

With the SuperLira--I mean SuperLeggera running the Akra, I'm sure we can expect an Akra map for the rest of us--or at least a little bit of latitude in the event that a catastrophic engine failure is blamed on the pipe and/or tune.

One would think..... however I've never really had much faith in dealerships, regardless of brand. Unless it's stated in black and white, which never happens. Again, if the tune is a few hp/tq off, I can live with that.

can you buy the Termi R upmap separately

I always thought you could but my dealer said no.

That is impossible lets say it breaks or it gets stolen.Sure you can buy one check online google it there were few on ebay also price 130usd to 200usd

And i can get one from my dealer also i do not get it why he said you cant

my dealer said you can't either.

How do you "lose" it if it's programmed into your ecu?

I've never had faith in dealerships, either. But after visiting, I don't know....a baker's dozen of them across the US, the standards of Ducati dealerships is far greater than any other car or bike mfg I've visited. Additionally, the burden of proof for a warranty denial due to a modification is the responsibility of the manufacturer. If something happens and a mfg denies a claim they have to demonstrate that the item added caused it.

I suppose someone who has experience with Rexxer should chime in. I'd never heard of them prior to visiting MotoCorsa.

Just put one of these on my bike. It absolutely rocks. It reminds me Of my 999 - torque everywhere, the way a ducati should be.

This exhaust is a must have.

I'll be at willow streets this weekend and button willow next if anyone wants a look. I'll be the guy with a small 3 legged dog...

Technically, yes but it all depends on your relationship with the dealer. They could be dicks about it n deny claims but they'd have to prove whatever your warranty claim is was caused by the exhaust since there is no Ducati upmap available to support the akras. Any kind of aftermarket tune is what would "technically" void your warranty but again, just depends on how cool the dealer is. Most will probably brush it off.
